I was planning on keeping my 3rd gen, but free car washes?

 

The free oil changes are nice. That’s like $100+ a year after the free services from Toyota depending how much you drive…

 

That’s true. I just don’t trust the dealerships to do anything because I’ve had so many bad experiences with dealerships of all different types.

A friend of mine just purchased a new GX 460 and he said the Lexus dealership is like a 5 star hotel. That sounded appealing lol

 

I would hope so. Jones Toyota used to have a bunch of things, coffee (still do) lunch time they’d have a hot dog stand set up, someone to do manicures, popcorn machine and I’m sure something else. I don’t normally wait around.

 

Wow that’s pretty impressive. That explains why I always hear about them. The ones around me are all a bunch of bums lol you just sit there and stare at CNN on mute while someone does your oil change wrong

Yea, so far I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Jones. Bought truck there and got an amazing deal. My local shop is Koons Westminster, idiots there, but I still showed them the sales quote to see if they could match or beat it… guy laughed and said if Jones is going that low buy it now. Koons couldn’t even get close! And their service had been great. In and out quickly, only do what I say I want, never try and upsell me. Only bad thing is they are about 1.5 hour ride from house. But oil changes for life and an engine guaranteed for life is well worth the drive!

Yep, that’s why I usually buy from them. Besides the Subie dealer, they’ve always negotiated.

Well, the Grand Highlander was MSRP but I guess that’s the best I could have gotten when I bought it.

Oh and besides the 10k mark up on the land cruisers. That might just be a marketing thing on their site

 

Interesting. Maybe I’ll have to go check them out if the Land Cruiser prices ever come down.

Do you (or does anyone) know if the 2024 Lexus GX still only takes premium fuel? I see it has a new twin turbo V6 but can’t find anything about fuel.

Still looking at tires I can’t buy right now. 285/75/16, can get Kenda at2s for 9-950 or the falkens for just over 1K.

The Kendas I can get that have a money back guarantee if I don’t like them. The fallens do not but if they price match it would be close to 900 as well and includes replacement but no happy or your money back type thing.

 

I always like the idea of having something that other people don’t, or something that isn’t all over Instagram. So maybe go with the Kendas? I’ve never ever read a bad review of any of their tires.

 

That’s why I went with the Ironman Foam Cell Pro kit.
I did read a few negative reviews and hear from a few people they didn’t like the Kendas but you see bad reviews and experiences for everything if you read enough.

I do still really want 35s but if I end up getting something new in a few years, 16” wheels won’t fit on the Tacoma or probably 4Runner. There is probably a smaller market to buy 35s as compared to 285/75/16s.

 

If you can afford a GX, $.40 extra for Premium shouldn’t be a problem. I wouldn’t want to run bottom barrel fuel in an $80k truck either way. I mean what are we talking… $12 difference on a full fill up?

My truck has never had anything below Mid grade in it… shoot, the boat down to the yard equipment gets Mid as well.

Id love a GX for the wife… just not the payment for our bank account
