TRD Pro vs Ranger Raptor

I love my 2007 Tacoma. But right now Ford is building a better truck. I could never like the 3rd gens and was hoping the 4th gens would be better. They may be better than the 3rd gens, but Ford has out done Toyota.

 

I don't care for all the red accents on the ranger interior, but I think it's a better value over the trd pro tacoma. For resale and reliability go with the tacoma.

 

If it weren't for resale and the 6-ft bed I'd go for the Ranger. Hell, I might still go for the Ranger now that it has the 2.7-V6 option.

 

Toyota USA, get your shit together with a potent L6 and it will be The True Torque Gen!!!!

 

doesn't the 4th gen TRD PRO have the highest torque in its class?

 

I've always wanted a raptor and this ranger is verrrry tempting. I really like the 4th gen, but the price on the raptor ranger (with no markup) feels like a better deal.

The raptor rangers gas mileage is terrible. I know, nobody cares about it... but damn. 17mpg is a pass for me

 

I need to drive the new ranger raptor to see how it is. I’ve only driven the previous generation, I wonder how much different it is.

 

A 3mpg difference over 15k miles is $400 annually. $1.10/day for a Raptor, I’d pay.

 

The only exception I would ever make for getting a Ford would be a 2-door Bronco.

Haven't kept up on Ranger resale value but guessing it's not amazing.

 

Anyone with the budget for these type of new vehicles also consider Gladiators?? Sorry if that’s against code around here lol sure comes with a lot of capabilities from the factory.. technically a midsized truck no? I’m not a jeep person by any means nor am I sure I’d be okay with it but If I had that type of budget I’d think about it..

I test drove a 4dr badlands bronco a while back. Wasn't terrible, wasn't fantastic.

 

It’s a Jeep looking truck with a small bed small engine and huge turning radius. Most trims look goofy with small tires.

The AEV Brute looked badass but that was rocking a HEMI.
