So I’m guessing your runner has the kdss system. Pros cons?

It does not. Just the dude's business name.

When I was running through the purchase process, it dawned on me that I hadn't looked to see if it was equipped with it or not. I had zero desire for it, so I ran out to the parking lot to check before I signed anything. Not as funny on paper as it was on my head. The end.

Yea I don’t think I would have went for it either, but it’s supposed to be a good system isn’t it?

Probably likely that Toyota has witches on staff for various engineering issues.

Just read up on it; interesting idea. Or you could just remove your stabilizer bar like I did on my Taco. Total cost: $0. Compared to the LC it still handles like an F1 car.

Some BMW’s have electronic sway bars and you can operate them through a diagnostic computer. So, while it’s on a lift you can make the wheels raise and lower

Wheeling trip coming up. Had to scramble this weekend to get some comfort items in. Nothing necessary, but things I wanted.

Installed the Trail Grid Pro Kicker speaker upgrade. I initially wanted the Focal version, but couldn't really justify the cost. That and my hearing isn't the greatest.

Anyway, this kicked my butt way more than I thought it would. Not my first time doing this by any means. I have never fought with door panels like I did with these. I finally figured out the trick and they just went right on. Typical. I had left the tailgate speakers until last, thinking they would be the hardest. Nope. Maybe the easiest. The soldered leads on one of the dash speakers gave up the ghost. Had to pull them out and fix it.

Installed some Moroso battery terminals for future usage. Few minute swap. Cheaper than anything else I've seen, and they have five mount points per anode. I wanted to prettify the positive side, so I ordered some hardware from my favorite place, McMaster Carr.

Had gotten a dash cam that's made for the 4runner. It replaces the housing underneath the rear-view mirror. I had to fight with fitting all the wires in the box and the reinstall it, but I finally got it. It also had a rear camera that was an easy install. I had gotten a universal mount off Etsy. It slides under one of the plastic buttons in the headliner. Easy-peasy.

Got a new car this weekend, so I'm surprised I got anything done on the 4runner.

Front bumper is probably next. I've been stockpiling parts for during the install (lights, winch).

Had already forgotten this. I rock. Back from wheeling. Some interesting moments. The Runner came back without only minor damage to areas that will be cut out when the bumpers happen. No biggie. I hate the cheap tires I bought.

Side note on the speakers: I noticed that one of the dash speakers sounded horrible. I emailed Trail Grid Pro and they were already on top of it. Apparently, they've been having a time with these. Poor sound quality and solders coming undone. Exactly my experience. They sent new ones out with a return label and I'm good to go. I love good customer service.

I'm not near any trip pictures, but I'll try and remember to get a few up later. Or maybe one of the co-wheelers can put something up. I'm up for a good laugh.
