I desired a hundredth of an inch over of tolerance, so I drew and cut for that

Three hundredths is actually pretty far off, wonder if the drawing was old. Just hit it in place with a hammer the alum will clearance itself

Got another dumb question for the experts

Do all tacos have a low fuel light? I've never seen mine, even when the needle goes below the empty line..

 

no, not all of them have it. mine does not have one either.

 

Are we sure that we don't have it, or have we just never gone low enough because of how un-precise the fuel gauge is?

 

I'm thinking thats my only option.. I just don't want to have to put gas in on the side of the road, everyone would look at me like I'm an idiot

 

My 04 Taco and 96 T4R both have it.

 

I just got asked to put together a company ad in the CFO's favorite Car Classic annual magazine and he wants me to use one of our old 2 page spread (horizontal) ads in the 1 page slot that he purchased.

told him that's not really going to work and explained why, so he asked me to just turn it 90˚ so it would be sideways lmao.

shine a light on your cluster or pull it out and look at the PCB, p sure mine doesn't have a slot for the light. Maybe it does and just doesn't have a bulb

my gauge is so inaccurate I never let it go below 1/4 tank anyways. at 1/4 tank I'm putting in 13 gallons lol

 

That's how my 4runner is. It will sit below 1/4 tank and still have a good 5 - 6 gallons in it. But when the light does come on there's only about 3 gallons left, so at least the light is accurate lol.

 

But why even run it that low
