    That's why I'm building our deck, had 3 people no show more than once. My wife ask me this morning if I could build us a table for it, I said sure it'll be 14 months before I can get to it though :anonymous:

    Chlorine tablets for pools made the skunks leave from under my deck, know anyone with a pool? Or pour some bleach down the hole! Dad used to pour gas down groundhog holes when he was younger, sometimes light it too.

    Love reading all the "when does a man become a man" responses. Lots of wisdom going on in here.
    Any chance when everyone's had their say, some of you might want to weigh in on the other side? When does a woman become a woman? :fingerscrossed: I think the measuring stick on that is different.

    Nope. We won't touch that.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    I think it's the same for a woman, when she starts being responsible but I also think it's younger in women than with most men. Not all men, but most.

    I'm nearing my fourth decade and I'm not sure I've ever even thought about this question. I suppose a clearer question might be, what are women responsible for?

    If you're married and have a family, that answer might be clearer, if you're not, it seems less clear. Does working hard, keeping my word, and providing for myself make me a woman? :confused:

    Absolutely. Some women I know who are married and have kids aren't women. Being married and having kids doesn't make you a man or woman.

    I've been married 40 years and I have a 32yo daughter, so I'll take a shot...
    I think it is much harder to become a woman than to become a man. To make the transition, you have to assume the responsibility, but you also need to figure out what you bring to society.
    There are countless differences between men and women, and watching both my son turn into a man and my daughter turn into a woman was fascinating. I think with my daughter, it was when she truly understood how she fit in at home, work, school, etc and then it was responsibility that fully converted her. You ladies are really complicated lol.

    As far as when I became a man? Two specific things stand out... A) When I started designing things that could kill people if I screwed up and B) When my wife was overseas and I had a six month old daughter at home and we got two feet of snow on Tuesday and two more feet of show on Thursday. We were basically trapped in the house for three days and it took five days of us working together to open our street. Yeah, I somehow kept her alive lol.

    Understood. Most men are simple, like me. I watched both my wife and my daughter struggle at times throughout their lives. I didn't understand why but was there for support. I guess both men and women struggle, just over different things.

    We were talking about this at work this afternoon. I’ve recently found myself in a heap of trouble at work, long story but basically I thought I locked out a switch, it wasn’t locked, and the wind blew it closed causing the 345kv line to trip back to New Brunswick. Luckily it was at night and no one was working on the line. First thing I did when I found out was own it. No excuses, I didn’t lock it, I thought I did. My fault. In contrast, We have a kid (26 y.o. Male)in my department who has driven into a bollard, got a pickup buried in a field, smoked a 130vdc battery charger, and sign for a load of 6 breakers that were all either damaged or missing parts, those breakers we can’t use and cost us $25-50k each. Not one time have any of those things been his fault. Always an excuse, always somebody else’s fault. Maybe it’s just a generational thing, I don’t know.:anonymous:

    Don't get me started. However... there are still some badasses in this current generation.
