Option 2. I got exactly 2 inch lift with same set up.

 

Glad to know someone else had the exact same issue I had. Icon was super fast to send out replacements though.

 

Yeah I didn't order through Icon directly, so I figured I better try the distributor first. They emailed me back stating they are working with their shipping dept to get me a replacement AAL.

 

Make sure you aren't missing the hardware as well as I was missing both.

 

My add a leafs weren't even with the springs, came loose next to them.
Surprised they made it.

 

Mine all showed up together but the hardware was dangling loose by a thread almost lost

 

same thing happened to me. I also got a discount from the damage that was caused from shipping. I don't understand why they ship them without any protection.

Had mine on for about a month or so and they already squeaking pretty loud. I knew I should have done the tire mod when I had them apart…but I thought to myself…eh won’t happen to me

lesson learned. Gotta watch the YouTube vid again and get the supplies.

No guarantees. I put inner tubes and lube between each leaf prior to install since I was going to run option 2. Already getting the squeaks with under 1k miles. Haven’t taken the time to reapply grease to the Dobinson shackle bolt. I learned to live with squeaky leafs several tacos ago.

 

Well that’s not great to hear! Wondering if it is even worth it then hahah

 

I ordered the below 2 1/4in wide leaf spring liners and teflon spray. The RXT is 2.5in wide, so I'm hoping the liners are thin enough to flatten the edges and sandwich between the springs. We shall see.

is the squeaking coming from the leafs or the shackles? or can you tell? the dobinson shackle bolts seem interesting. do you recommend them?

 

Mine only squeaks at shackle a couple of squirts of some lube all good for a little bit till a repeat process no big deal

 

Turns out I just needed to tighten my spare tire! I kicked it a few times as the squeak was very high pitched (like rubber on metal lol) and turns out the spare tire was a little loose. No squeaks for me from the springs…yet lol

 

The squeaks remind me they are working. Wouldn’t be RXTs without it

 

Update on my missing add-a-leaf... Pure Off-Road emailed me a return label today, and a replacement pack is already on the way. Should arrive Monday, so as long as this one isnt missing the add-a-leaf we will be on track to install next weekend.

 

Installed mine tonight (stage 2). Looks like 4” of lift, but I still have jack stands under the frame supporting most of the weight. It should settle down when I button it up and torque everything down in the morning.

I ordered two rolls . I have option 2 and had enough to do both leaf packs . regreased the pivot points and shackles
And it’s been perfect . Runs like oem
No squeaks or clunks .

 

4 inches would be a ton on option 2…unless you have 0 weight in the back. But even then that seems like a lot
