I recently put on 1.25 inch spacers on my 23’ Tacoma SR. The lug nuts do not seem to go on far enough to sit flush, maybe 1/4 of an inch away from the end of the stud. Was wondering if the simplest solution for this is getting longer studs to fit. If so, what size would be recommended. Anyone else have this issue?

You mean the nuts on the spacers, attaching them to the hub.......or the lug nuts that hold the wheels to the spacers?

The lug nuts for the spacers are acorn and need to point in. Are they on backwards?
    Here's how my Spidertrax sit.

The studs from the truck to the spacer, the lug nuts only thread so far, and they are tapered side in first like the should be. Didn’t know how unsafe driving that is, I do plan on fixing it somehow, just wondering why my 1.25 inch spacers don’t fit like others. All Tacomas should have the same size studs.

Yes the bora ones are as well, and they’re on as they should be with the tapered side toward the truck. But for some reason my studs just won’t reach to sit flush.

I have only used spidertrax however bora seems to be held in as high of a regard as the spidertrax are. I would believe that if you grabbed a few pics that would help us help you better

This isn’t my picture, however this is what it looks like, maybe not this bad, but not much better, lugs on right way, studs don’t sit flush. (Edit) : pictures didn’t post with the message.
(Edit again) : posted it under this message.

Either need longer studs or a different spacer.

I’ve never run into this yet but it’s not right for sure.

I can’t imagine the spacer is on wrong, there’s really only one way it fits lol. Just don’t get why my studs aren’t as long as other people’s. In the next week or so I’ll take them off and see what’s going on, just going to drive on it and hope it’s fine for now.

Most spacers I’ve installed have shanked nuts that counter the lack of exposed threads.

As long as these have good amount of turns and torque it’s fine.

It’s on there a decent bit, i used orange permatex on each stud, and torqued it to roughly 90ftlbs. Just would like to be able to drive and not have to worry about it. Mostly was wondering if anyone else has this issue or what they did to fix it.

I don't mind using spacers but your picture worries me. There are only a few threads holding those on. Are those the lug nuts that came with the spacers? Are the spacers new or used?

Personally, I would not have put my spacers on with that much nut hanging off.
Someone can correct me if wrong but you need around 6-8 turns? to hold good. (M12×1.5 is 8 turns)
Plus there's added stress there with the spacer.

That picture isn’t mine, it was a reference picture of what mine look like. But it is similar, the lug nuts I got are from bora, not a different set.

Bora is a really good brand so something isn't right. Have you contacted them?

I would say I got about 5-7 twists and the. Torqued it down, I’m not planning on running it the way it is, just looking for a solution. Was told extended lugs aren’t very safe, but some people said they’re fine and use them.
