my primary concern with the 285s is being too close to the UCA. Especially with articulation/flex. And I don’t trust any wheel spacers less that .75” bc they are shims and do not bolt on.

A +13 offset moves it away from the uca. I have +4 and no where close

Because I am lazy and don't feel like reading through 156 pages. Has anyone gone with aftermarket springs in the front? I have added a C4 Hybrid bumper and the front has gotten squishy so before I add a winch I figured I would see what everyone else is running. I am leaning toward OME Heavy springs up front but want to hear from the gallery... PFA

Lots of folks have swapped springs to compensate for extra weight. Reach out to one of the vendors here on TW to help you figure out what will work best for you.

Are the nuts and washers reused? Or new ones are provided?

So I’m trying to figure out my configuration. Have headstrong progressive aal, what should I set the front to? I don’t want level. I’d like about 1” of rake with a dclb. I do have a 0.5” spacer I can also add to the stack and I do not plan on running the overload spring

My dealer says the factory TRD kit does not have “applicability” to my 2023 TRD OR DCLB so dealer is unable to install. ?? So you or a shop did the kit on your BCLB? Have you had any issues?
I still don’t understand why the DCLB (and several other models) are not recommended by Toyota for this kit. ??

This guy did the install. I'm pretty sure Toyota didn't want to certify it to be compatible due to legal reasons or costs associated

    TRD Lift
Has anyone done suspension modifications to enhance the OEM TRD Lift? Specifically things like adding helper springs in the rear, whether they delete the lift block or not, and anything like a spacer lift (maybe around 1") in combination with the same components... Just curious. Didn't know if the stock setup with the TRD lift components would even pair well with this sort of alteration... Why am I asking? Is it possible to use the pieces we have with little modification to achieve a 3/2 lift rather than the 2/1 that we all got with the the TRD lift? Open to discussion on this. Would like to hear thoughts other than, "Just buy an actual 3/2 lift..."

I ended up using a 2" block in the rear rather than the 1" block to keep the lift height 2" front and back. I think the only issue this causes is you are approaching the limits of still being able to use the stock UCA's. My installer said he was able to align my truck using the stock UCA's, but that in the long run, more adjustable UCA's would be a good idea as I was close maxing out on the stock UCAs.

If anyone is looking to piece this TRD lift kit together and get only the suspension/lift related parts (and not the grille, TSS sensor, etc.), I have the the rear components from the kit available (four U-bolts and two blocks) and can sell them. $125 plus shipping. DM me if interested.

You still have good adjustments left when set at 2 inches in the front, at least my truck did. However, I'm on 5100s.

I have this lift on my truck and I feel sometimes as if the rear of my truck looks a little saggy. I ordered 3 in. blocks for the back instead of using the 1 in. block given in the kit. That being said, I have 285's, and they most defintely rub on my upper control arms during full turn. You will definitely need better offset to fit 285s.

Can someone confirm if the u-bolt is same length or longer than the stock u-bolt? I plan to install rear spacer but not sure if I need to also purchase u-bolts from this trd lift (which I presume is also same as the ones that come with pros?).

Yes, you will need to purchase the u-bolt (PN: 9011714011). They're stupid expensive at nearly $120 for a set of 4. Everything from this list w/ quantities is every item that you need for the OEM TRD Lift Kit minus the grill parts. I personally would recommend just grabbing an Icon Add-A-Leaf Kit or Icon RXT Pack and skip the Toyota 1in spacer and u-bolts. That's the route I would take if I were to do it again.

    TRD Lift Kit
I just dropped off my '23 TRD OR to the dealer to have the lift kit installed. I bought the kit from Bam Auto. I then called every dealer in the middle TN area to find the best deal on installation. The dealer I chose, Gallatin Toyota, had quoted me $1700 for the installation. I then talked Cool Springs Toyota down to $1200 for the job. I called Gallatin back and they decided to match the quote I received from Cool Springs. So I should have it back by tomorrow. Only reason I went with the factory kit and install was the re-calibration of the cameras and sensors. Otherwise, I would have used after-market lift. If anything is out of whack, such as alignment or camera angles, the dealer will correct it. Lot of money for what one gets; That's for certain.
