What's the dimension when the part lives in the northwest territory in January, vs Arizona in July?

Some of us like to push the buttons of peeps with undiagnosed OCD issues.

Cant we be happy with judging welds? Now we gotta roll with our mics to check tollrances .

    When does it end?

The only MIG welder I've ever owned is my Hobart Handler 150. I probably bought it 25 years ago. Still works as good as new. I also have the Primeweld 225. If it's too thick for my 150, I use the SMAW on the 225.

Just finished cutting/painting up a sign for a guy to give a friend who is retiring next week. Guy bought one of those huge flat nosed, bus like RVs. He, his wife, and granddaughter will be travelling for a while. At least until the fuel prices sideline them...

I'm not thrilled with it, but the guy buying it liked the pic, so I guess it'll be okay. 16" diameter, 18 gauge. The "Happy C..." font was supposed to be sort of a funky, non-crisp look but to me it just looks sloppy. I wouldn't have chosen it but he likes it.

First thing I've cut in 4 months. Life got too busy for hobbies and I also had drained my table for sub freezing Jan-Feb and just filled it this past weekend to make this sign.

CK17 ans CK26 are the most common style; what are you asking exactly?

Can your owner's manual answer this?

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Which fitting are you talking about? It sounds like the gas line, or are you talking about particular torch fittings? The torches are maddening and there is no rhyme or reason to the numbering sequence, some have interchangeable parts. @Kwikvette already named some of the most common sizes but I think you are talking the gas line to the machine.

And, depending on the machine..could mean manual gas valve on the torch itself IE scratch start or lift arc, or gas line going directly to the machine if it's high frequency.

My manual gas valve torch uses the same fitting any of my other gas lines do for my welding bottles. They use the same regulator with no adapters needed.

Then again that comes down to the regulator the person has on their own bottle.

We can't answer this for @soggyBottom as we have no idea what they own.

My owners manual is long gone. It's a BOC unit I bought in Australia years ago. I've since bought replacement parts on Amazon and they have always fit so I assumed they were basically all the same.

This is from some consumables I bought, "WP-17 WP-18 WP-26 TIG Welding Torch."

It's a BOC welder that's about 12 years old. Something has gummed up the threads where the consumables thread in. I want a tap to clean the threads instead of buying a new torch.

    Picture?

Only consumables on a TIG welder is the tungsten itself and that just slides right in and held by the collet.

Technically you're not supposed to use a tap/die set for cleaning threads as there's another tool for that, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't use one for such reasons.

If you don't have your gauge tool with your tap set for finding out the thread/pitch on something, I can pull mine out tomorrow and measure the threads on my CK26 torch for you.

I went to my local airgas. It's the same thread size as all the other torches they carry. I should have a tap in the mail tonight.
