I have this issue on the passenger side but it's only about and 1 1/2" long. I tuck it back in but it only stays that way for a couple of days. It's almost as if it was cut too small to fit under the rubber seal.

Yes, I did then the whole side fell down, and side curtain airbag started falling down as well, that’s not good so I took it to the dealership and they’re replacing the whole thing, the headliner may take 2 to 3 weeks to get it just asking other tacoma owners, if they have the same thing, happy to them as well,

That’s what I did. I’m just asking other Toyota owners if they’re having the same problem as me Toyota quality has been questionable last couple of years

    ugh thats annoying.
Now you have to dig at the passenger side and try to pull it down so it's symmetrical.

My 2017 did that the first year and the dealership just tucked it back in place. Has not happened since. They had a smooth flat tool that they pushed it back up in place not much bigger than a popsicle stick..

I have the same issue with my 2018 TRD Off Road. The headliner had started to separated for the first 4 inches or so rearward of the interior A pillar plastic cover. I periodically have to push it back in but it doesn't stay in place for long. Thinking about smearing a light dab of adhesive on the inside of that rubber seal to see if I can keep the edge of the headliner in place. Not letting the Stealership touch my truck for this; no telling what else they will 'eff up in trying to repair/replace the headliner...

I would’ve done that but the whole side curtain airbag started fall down as well. So I took it to the dealership because it under warranty both sides were not put in correctly at the factory. they’re going to have to replace the whole headliner, including all the plastic clips with the airbags as well

After I re-read my comment today It came across a little sarcastic. Even thou thats my usual self, I did not mean for that comment to come across as such. With all of our Tacomas, the head liner looks like that under the rubber. Mine and all the boys look the same under the molding.
