Nah, no problem. Typically just hyperflash aka double the flash rate. If not that, it usually just won't work, so test it out.

Personally, I prefer hyperflash on a motorcycle. Feel like it's more noticeable than the normal flashing speed.

Ordered a set of tire irons, and later this summer I'll maybe attempt to change to a new set of tires myself. A little garage practice, fresh rubber. Then I'll know what to expect on the trail.

    minor tweaks
Set the tire out in the sun, it will more resemble the tire temp when you have to change on the trail and the warmer tire will install easier. If you have room and it's a otherwise difficult tire to change anyway, a small bottle of liquid soap is your friend.

A trick we've used when breaking the bead loose on my Triumph's 150/70-17 rear tire tire which is difficult is to lay the wheel flat on the ground and use the sidestand from another bike to push down right near the bead. We had a 1250 GSA handy and it worked like a charm after a frustrating attempt with tire irons.

So, I'm a complete dumbass. I didn't realize the TST signals wouldn't work on the Rally(apparently just the crf300L) I just ordered factory LED's from bikerzbits.

Funny how regions dictate different behavior...lol. if it was nice out I'd take that opportunity to ride and do other stuff. It's when the weather's shit that I tidy up the garage or work on the bike.

i'm sure for you it's probably too cold/miserable to do that stuff when the weather's crap though.

    maybe different plugs?

Apparently the Rally has a different wiring b/c of the 2 LED headlights(so I read). It even says it on their site. I just didn't pay attention

I'm sure it would work with some splicing, I just want a plug-n-play.

Yeah, probably different plug or pinout. Bummer. I get it though, when I had my Navi and I went to LED's it was a PITA but I was bound and determined to not cut up my stock wiring harness at all. Bought a pack of OEM-style connectors (They used the old school bigger molex connectors on it) and wired up my own jumpers and crap to make it all work. Grom uses a newer style mini connector that I had to buy adapters for, I was sad.

Yeah, no one to blame but myself
I'm not a fan of cutting the factory harness either. Luckily, the Europe/Asia markets got factory LED signals........so I'll have those :D

I cut the connector off the stock signal and install it on the aftermarket. I am never putting stock signals back on.:der:

Absolutely worthwhile to know how to change a tire yourself if off road etc. Like stated below, set the new tire out in the sun to heat up some, and take the bike for a short ride with a 5-10 psi less than normal to heat it up as well.

Im going to recommend against soap / water n soap as a tire lube. It never goes away, and water rusts things, especially when trapped inside a rim where it cant evaporate.

If you plan on changing tires in any amount on your own grab some Ru-Glyde (or other tire mounting specific lube). Its cheap ~20 bucks for a gallon specifically meant for changing tires, actually helps with the bead stick once dry, no corrosion from water etc. I JUST had to refill my 32oz spray bottle after ~ 5 yrs and with tons of tire swaps. Napa sells it i believe or you can get it on Amazon

    https://www.amazon.com/Ru-Glyde-Mounting-Rubber-Lubricant-Bottle/dp/B000CIJUGK

    https://www.amazon.com/Ru-Glyde-Bottle-Lubricant-Protection-Motorcycles/dp/B0C34D46YY

I also like to use cornstarch on my tubed tires tubes and a little on the inside of the tire itself to prevent chafing of the tube.

I never would have thought of the water/soap as being a no no. Good info!

Also this stuff is WAY slippier on rubber than soap (unless you use like pure soap... then get ready for spun beads), I have found lots of uses for it outside of tires when dealing with stretching rubber over things......................
