Got Archive Garage U bolt filp Option 3 for my 2022 OR with RXT (1.85" lift option) leaf pack - The install looks pretty straight forward and easy. Problem is I don't have anything to cut the ends of the U bolts if that is necessary. Just wondering if anyone has done this same install and if cutting was required.

Harbor Freight is your friend in this.
They have $3 hacksaw or $15 grinder that will cut the bolts just fine.

It’s not really required to trim the ends

Vice grip + hacksaw. Cut with the nut threaded below the cut point so you can back it off after to correct the cut threads.

yes, that works, but I normally just cut them after they’ve been installed and torqued. Call me nuts, but I kind of file them down and put a little bit of a bevel on them as well. I’ve skipped that step before and sliced the finger.

I have a Dremel but the stupid chuck or whatever it's called is frozen and won't budge so I can't replace what is in there now with an attachment that can cut a bolt. I have soaked with penetration stuff that is supposed to loosen rust but that ain't working.

That Dremel is going to maul up the threads and give you another problem.

Stick with the hacksaw or cutoff wheel/angle grinder. Ideally the cutoff wheel/angle grinder. Home Depot rents tools for cheap too.

Sounds like good advice - I never have a need for a cutoff wheel and might not even need it - but they are not that expensive so I will just go over the Harbor Freight and get a cheap one. If I end up not needing it maybe I can take it back.

Seems much simpler to do it your way!

well, your way would actually work very well and quite a bit better. But you just really gotta know how much you need to cut off and that really won’t happen until you get the flip kit installed

I suppose you could mock them up, mark them, then remove and cut. That idea might actually work quite a bit better
