It sounded like 2024 was the end. Hopefully it's not some electric hybrid motor making up the difference in hp/tq.

No reason to be an ass , how am I supposed to know. You can literally change the province on the Toyota page to whatever one you want

There isn't anyone out there who wants a TH that bad. Money to burn probably isn't shopping the Toyota Trucks lot.

There are a lot of people who trade so quickly they have negative equity. Not just no down payment, they add the balance from their previous vehicle to the new loan.

I feel like the auto loan industry is on the verge of crashing like real estate did in 2008. I can't be the only one who feels this way.

Agreed. Many industry experts have pointed to this huge bubble but unlike houses and that percieved price bubble there is no shortage of car inventory.

I did watch something recently that said the average US car payment was $800 and 1 in 5 is over the 1k mark

I considered trading my 2016 with some cash in on a $46,000 TRD OR. My down payment total would be $35,000. For 3 years my loan would be just over $400 a month. That’s hard to swallow when my current truck is paid off. Interest rates are so insane right now.

Yep that’s where I’ve been, $40k equity in my paid for 2022, still would have a $300 a month Tacoma payment or a $700 month raptor I was looking at. Hard pill for sure when payment free house hold.

Yeah it’s tough. If my payment was under $300 for my situation, I think I would do it if I got the exact model, color, with everything I want in it. But close to $500 when I’m putting down $35k?

I still am not totally in love or onboard with the new gen to be setting my 22 off to sea that I still enjoy daily I think I was at $280 or so and change which isn’t bad for a premium truck loaded but it’s still $280 that could be saved, invested, etc. and I don’t know seems like there’s a lot of indicators towards worsening times than easier and think many just are oblivious or choosing to turn a blind eye.

I am going to go drive one some day soon. The reports from people who upgraded from a 3rd gen seem to really enjoy the ride quality so I am open to the idea. I think I am the only one on this forum happy with a 4cyl turbo because this V6 is so slow on the low end it almost gets me in accidents when I need to pull out. So for me personally, I am intrigued by the powertrain.

As far as worsening times, that's been 'coming' since 4 years ago and if we really want to go back, the Cold War. Not saying I disagree but I am not going to let worldwide problems decide my truck Lol. Live your life!

I have absolutely no issue with the 4cyl , mostly it is the extra gears that has me swapping
