Out with the old and in with the new. 6112/5160s and Icon RXT installed this morning.
I’m going to drive around for a bit more and double-check torque before I do any post-lift measurements.
My test drive and quick trip to the gas station was nice. Much smoother than the OE Pro suspension.

 

a few local tacoma's have them. i'm not impressed with their performance at all. i really question if the illumination area meets DOT requirements...

 

Looks good... they just had a deal on those BOGO and I got 2.... Let us know how long it lasts...

 

Got a new bottle jack to carry in the truck. Pretty much the same min and max height as the stock screw jack but with a slight modification to a hi lift base plate I get a few extra inches of height just in case.
Only reason I got it is because I got a flat a while ago and realized after using the OEM jack that hydraulic lifting is much easier.

 

Exactly what I did...BOGO deal. I'm gonna do the wash and apply wet methods to kids vehicles. See how that methods works.

 

I know I'm kind of late to the party but finally got a TRD Pro grill. Got OEM from a local dealer.

 

Added some baja goodies to replace the diode dynamics kit.

 

These are good for the price and have that molded neoprene look. The only downside is they are thinner than Wet Okole I've had in the past. Still, for the price, it's the best seat cover available for those not wanting to spend a lot.

 

Just stuffed some 285/75/r16s onto my stock suspension Tacoma .

I have +0 offset wheels for anyone that wants to know, and I did trim the smallest amounts off of the cab mount, but not enough to bust out the welder. . No rubbing at all.

 

Looks good but pretty tight fit. Have you tried it off-road at all? I bet you will get some rubbing when it flexes a bit.

 

How’s that light bar connect to the bottom?

Had to install a new battery today, the original one died at 114000 miles, I also decided it would be a good time to change spark plugs, the original ones looked decent, but were due

 

Anyone recently buy and install a MX4?
I believed I followed the paper instructions to a T, but when comparing it to a bunch of YouTube install videos, I noticed a couple of things:

1. My cover didn’t require me to lower the existing railing
2. Slam rails, or whatever you call it doesn’t connect with the rail adapter-if you adjust it, it makes the overall width too wide
3. I don’t have as much or the same hardware as any of the videos

 

That’s one way to do it. I just put tape over it.

 

Finally decided to get the OTT tune today and it definitely makes driving a lot more enjoyable. I also installed some seat covers to spruce up the interior a bit and I think they came out nice.

 

First opportunity for a proper driveway wash since hunting season. Also drilled out the bed drains to ½” so they would clear faster.
Lots of tree poop in the BC Interior, so bigger holes are better.
