Instead of using the provided carabiner you can use a small lock.

I like my badlander. Was camping with +30 mph winds and the tent portion didn't waver too much even when the wind blew the side of the truck and made it buffet. Thomas, Kate and crew are top notch and it's great to have a local company like them here. Fully support them and their product. They listen to their customers.

Also been wondering about this – I asked Lizzie at TT if there were black replacement latches available and she sent me this link. They look similar to the stock ones but I'm still unsure about the hardware: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FS4LKXL

I like the low profile cross bars on top. Any chance you could share your setup? I'm shopping around for my Mesa.

Nothing like a paid campsite with flush toilets, and showers.

I've been volunteering at Sky Park Bike Park at Santa's Village to do trail maintenance. The benefit is an annual pass or extend my current one. Instead of leaving LA at 4 AM, I decided to drive up the day before and get a campsite across the street.

From what I can tell, if you find latches that you want, you can e-mail Thomas and Katy and let them know. If it works, you can send them the parts and they'll install it.

I do wish the latches were beefier but at the same time, I'm glad that they aren't proprietary like GFC

For the Mesa, the rear door latches are different and the window is smaller.

I read the only thing you need to change is the seal on teh rear door but not 100% sure.

Def reach out to Topo before you buy so you know for sure.
