oh yeah that trailer is setup perfect

Those soft ties you have around the forks like this with ratchet straps should work like a charm!

There's nothing on top wiring / brake line wise of the triple so no worries about crushing anything and just be careful on the clutch side to go behind the brake line/abs line bracket.

If I can I do a secondary backup strap up front on either side lightly synched on the crash bars right on that front bend of the crash bars on my bike pictured above... Literally just as a backup for peace of mind really cus the bike is so heavy. Though if I can I'll do some triangulation (main black straps forward like pictured) then secondary straps straight down / maaaybe ever so slightly back, that makes things so secure just due to how the suspension moves on forks on a bike work when compressing.

I mainly use this method when strapping my dirtbike in the bed of my truck way off to one side. The bike wants to lean in due to the outside strap being almost vertical to centerline close to the wheel. Adding simply a 3rd strap at the front pulling straight down/down and slightly back on the outside makes the bike go from wanting to flop in super easy to not moving at all.

I can take some pics of this, a buddy showed me this a loooong time ago and I always do it. Especially with the dirtbike and the middle bed bolt D rings.

Welp, ordered the factory LED turn signals. I only bought the front for now since I already have the flush mount Grom ones on......and I didn't want to spend $85 more

Went to look at buying a CRF300L today, and now I'm wondering if I should just buy a CRF450RL

Why is choosing a bike so damn hard.

The CRF300L is somewhat similar on paper to my WR250R but way more road savvy, offroad it needs a few things to get to my demands.

A CRF450RL would be a big upgrade in every way, but isn't as suited for daily riding, and higher maintenance.

I hate riding in traffic, I definitely prefer open roads or dirt.

Here's a comparison from a guy that has both. They are for two different purposes, and only you know what will fit what you want best.

I’ve watched a lot of his stuff, love how honest and candid he is.

I just got my bike license so I’m riding pavement alone finally and getting a feel for it all.

I think I need to be patient and reflect after this riding season.

Money would solve this conundrum. I’d buy a Tuareg 660 and ride off into the sunset.

You'd think money would solve the problem, but then you'd get the Tuareg, and be in a dilemma about what other bikes you should get.

I love the idea of the CRF450, just hate the 800 mile service intervals. That won't ever work for me. If the little 300's ever get below a 4K used price........I'm probably gonna grab one so I can do the 301 big bore kit to my Rally. That project will put my bike down for a bit.....and I'm not gonna be without one anymore :D

You just need two bikes. One for your daily street commuting and one for the dirt stuff. Here soon I might know a guy looking to unload a a low mileage CB500X that gets 70 MPG and would be a great commuter. :spy::evil:

I would love to have the CRF300L or 300LS to go along with my Rally. I just need the used prices to get below 4K

If you're not worried about going fast you might check out the KLR650. It's a solid bike, always starts and goes, is capable of going just about anywhere, and does all of that at a pretty decent price. Used you can get them at even better prices. Slow is it's only negative. Like, uphill or into wind you're not going over 60 MPH kind of slow, but it will get there eventually.

Honestly with the inflation stuff going on, prices aren't really going to come down. The dollar ain't what it used to be.

I'm in a position of uncertainty so I want to stick with one bike.

KLR 650/KTM 690 both are out, my buddies have them and the thumper vibrates the hell out of me. I'm sensitive to vibes due to my trade.

I know I'm picky and useless, so sticking with WR250R for longer wont hurt until I can figure out my long term life goals.

    Ideally I'd have a yamaha 250 2 stroke, NX500 for commuting and a touring KTM 1290 for travel :D

Ah, I dodged thumpers for the vibes as well. Though, the CRF300 and 450 are also singles, are they not?

Yea but the giant 650s have the worst, especially the tank that is the KLR.

I didnt ride the KTM as much but it's way more high strung than the other singles as well.

I found my self trying to find harmonics with the KLR on the couple of rides.

I havent been on a 450 yet, and you make a valid point, maybe I'll find someone to lend some seat time if they trust me.:bikewhoops:
