I made brackets for it. They have been holding a diode dynamics stage series bar for 2 years now. Had to modify it a bit further to work with the s8.

FYI the rear covers fit extremely well and are super easy to install.

I’ve installed the whole set once, and 2 additional covers (hail destroyed one, and the replacement had an issue with the hinge and BAK replaced that for me). No issues at all. Most recent was just a couple months ago.
Your install comments don’t sound right. Did you get the Tacoma kit? It is a very different install and has extra hardware than other trucks. If you don’t lower the stock rails the tonneau cover rails won’t fit. There should have been an extra set of supplemental instructions just for the Tacoma.

The jack fits inside the base no problem, I just had to make a notch to access the release valve

From the All Pro Off Road website:
2016-2023 Tacoma APEXG3N Steel Rear Bumper
    - Does not accommodate Blind Spot Monitor

I only post this because I'm looking at aftermarket rear bumpers that work with all the rear tech.

The instructions don’t even have me remove the original rails, let alone provide the hardware for the lowering bracket.

I may have missed it I'm an earlier post but which model cover is that? That mounting method is very different than my mx4

Interesting. Those instructions are very different from mine and they say Tacoma. I wonder if they redesigned it; it would be nice to keep the rails at normal height.

I’ve called customer service before and they have been very knowledgeable and helpful. I’m curious what you find out.

    Thank you..

After a long research on after market rear bumpers, I found that this one (All Pro) fit my needs, simple design, hidden hitch and easy to install..
Something to keep in mind when installing it, you will need a second set of hands. other than that pretty straight forward..

enjoy the OCD aneurysm, since I missed 12345 milestone. It was on a trip down to southeast Ohio for a little fun in the mud, to which the truck laughed at any obstacle I took it through. I also decided to give Perry Parts rear bump stops a shot since the OEM ones are hard as a rock, they look good, still haven't hit them yet but I assume they'll compress softer than OEM.
