I don't know first hand as my LCA's are uniball pivots, but what do your alignment cams look like?
Possible that the arms are so torqued in the pivots that its gapped on one and destroying the other.
I'd check torque too. Mine will usually close up around the misalignment spacers when snug vs torqued. or when removing gently pry open to get things to drop out and they don't rebound until squeezed again.

Smashed out a 1/4” 7075 front skid today. Should have paint on the chassis this weekend, then we turn the other direction. Finally.

After the crazy quote I got for what i'm calling 8 pillows from an upholsterer I decided to try it myself to make a headliner of some type. Got some 2 inch high density foam and some leather looking vinyl and did this so far. I'll be gluing the fabric to the foam and it will sit much tighter and nicer is my hope. In the pic the fabric is just being held by some pins but I wanted to see what it looked like before I glued anything.

meh…unless you leather wrap and baseball stitch the whole cage like the SMP taco there really is no point

if you are using a rattle can spray adhesive make sure that you use a good amount on both surfaces but you have to be careful not to make lumps in the spray adhesive or it will show through the vinyl. if you end up with any wrinkles or lumps use a hand held steamer to reactivate the adhesive and rub one out…er i mean rub it out

oh yeah for sure that is the best way to go, every time I suggest that to people they think I’m nuts but the glue is so much better. Did you buy a primer gun with a larger bore ? And did the videos cover thinning the glue and cleaning the gun etc ?

I got Tolulene as it seems to be the preferred thinner for the weld wood glue. Mineral spirits to clean. Gonna use an old harbor freight gun and hope for the best.

typically the bore size for the nozzle needs to be at least 1.8 or a primer gun or you’re gonna have issues

I feel like them flexing, getting longer and shorter on one side versus the other would make the powder flake off. Not sure!

    Whole lotta stuff
I feel like Leaf's will rust and chip apart with powdercoat. Sure, coils are powdercoated, but they don't see the same kind of abuse. Leafs travel in an arch and also grind against one another. I've honestly thought about derp'ing my leaf springs tbh to see how that holds up. But at the end of the day, they're leaf springs. They never look pretty.

The most well thought out and expensive approach to non-squeak and rust - he works at TC and built the sleeper 1st Gen if you’ve seen the BTD on it.

poor man discussion - fyi I used Rusto appliance enamel on some other stuff and it’s not curing despite it sitting for weeks.

I mean you can powder coat anything honestly. Even a brick. But truthfully, as a coater of more than a decade. I don’t recommend coating much of anything on these trucks aside from parts you’re gonna have off every year anyways.

I used a relay, cut an ABS wire going to the passenger wheel under the hood, then connected the two ABS wires to the 87 and 30 pins, in cab switch powers the relay and breaks the circuit when power is applied to pin 86.

That’s a lot easier than I thought it would be.
