Have a 2023 TRD Off-road; has anyone ever monitored their transmission temp and if so what are your temps running?

Mine usually runs 170-180 degrees. I monitor it with a scan gauge.

Okay thanks everyone, mine is running about the same. Just thought 200 was a bit high. Been monitoring mine with Autel 906Pro-TS.

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
Pan fluid temps are 180-200 like others said under normal driving conditions. Steep inclines and lots of gear shifts down/up and the torque converter temp got to around 220.

Thanks for the info eveyone; Going to look at options to lower transmission fluid temps below 200 degrees. Fluid temp above 200 is not a good thing; starts to deteriorate at that temp. Maybe I am just fooling around with something that I shouldn't be worried about though.

All the cars and trucks I've owned over the years I've monitored transmission temps from the converter out temp to inlet of oil cooler . This location you will notice Quicker temp spikes which can be useful when towing heavily loaded trailers up a steep grade . You will be able to notice a failing torque converter or clutch packs failing

Reading temp at the pan will be noticeably cooler like 50-75 deg cooler . It will be harder to notice an issue with your transmission

On my Camaro I'm running a Drag race Turbo 350 transmission that has a 4500 stall converter and Pro Tree Transbrake . I have the transmission temp probe in the converter out location to the inlet of the transmission cooler . After finishing my burnout in the waterbox transmission temp is about 160deg

When I pull up to stage I engage the transbrake which locks the transmission into reverse and first gear . This is where the transmission temps skyrocket , just 5 seconds on the Transbrake temps can easily go to 200-210 deg . By the end of the pass you will see occasionally 230 deg temps

This topic comes up a lot. Trust that the Toyota engineers know more than you about transmission temperatures.
