Sorry if I missed this, but for anyone who has hard wired their interior cap lights themselves; where are you tying into? Brake light is straightforward, but i was thinking of trying to tie into the bed light… which is not.

If you have factory bed lights you can buy a t harness from FBC to tap into them. However they will only work when the headlights are on. I just hardwired to a 12v source so I can run them whenever individually.

Agree. You can drill the L-Track holes larger, or in different places. If you do not yet have the L-Track, you can also use 80/20 (tslot). If you go that route, you can drill right through the profile to line up with the roof ribs. The benefit is you can slide the LoftLockers fore/aft pretty easily depending on your install or tweaks for different trips.

Love the idea of using duffels as bins.

Super impressed with VIATO interior. I have been following them for a while but wasn't sure it was going to be compatible with my bed stiffeners. I was also doing a lot of my traveling with 3 dogs so it wasn't the perfect solution for me.

Fast forward to now, I think I'm going to stick to half for now. The drawers fit everything I had in bins in the cab for cooking and cleaning. The large cubby holds a bunch of recovery gear.

I really like how minimal everything is while being structurally sound and secured.

Install was a breeze, with unpacking it maybe took 2 hours to assemble.

It fits around the water tank, Dickens heater and bed stiffeners no problem.

I went straight to a 12v hot all-the-time source. You can run all the way up to the battery. I was going to tap into the factory bed lights but wanted to be able to control the lights individually with the switches on each lamp without having to go into the cab.

Run a shielded marine 10 gauge cable with power and ground built in to the battery.

Put a blue seas 4 circuit fuse box behind the taillight on the drivers side. Put a ground bus terminal back there too.

Run your 10 gauge to the blue seas fuse box and bus terminal. Wire whatever you want into the fuse box and bus bar.

Drill through your bed or metal area around the bed sitffeners, add a grommet, and you can run whatever from the bed into the taillight area for power.

And if you are looking to run a 12v cigarette lighter thingy back there for a fridge, get the dometic hardwire kit. I’ve been told it’s “locking” so your fridge won’t unplug when you’re wheeling.

this is a good idea, thanks. I actually have the dometic hardwire kit run to the bed, its a 10g wire. I just didn't think of adding a fuse box to the bed area

I have had some issues with bad grounds for whatever reason back there using the factory frame ground inside the drivers rear tire on top of the frame rail.

Once I ran a power/ground combo wire (which is actually easier to run because it's quite stiff) to the battery all of my issues went away.

My 10gauge/4port fuse box runs 2 12v outlets, 1 USB 2.0 outlet, and 2 switches that control factory Alu-Cab lighting as well as 2 Diode Dynamics Rock lights in red color back there on magnetic mounts.

It does get a little wet back there behind the tail light at times, but I have not had any issues in a year of running the blue seas fuse box back there. I had some cheaper fuse boxes from Amazon that would last a month or two. FWIW.

I didn’t read back to the start of this conversation but figured I’d share what I did for power for my use.

I added a blue seas fuse block w/ negative bus and stuffed it in the cubby on the passenger side. I used the arb wiring kit which is similar to yours I believe but since I ran it where I did the length was about 4-5’ short. I drilled a hole bottom corner of cubby for the wires. I have the blue seas panel too that’s mounted on the cubby door- added voltage, fridge plug and cig outlet. The wires going through the cubby door are the dash cam and led lights. I’m only running the frig on family trips, led canopy lights, garmin mini for rear dash cam (I wired this with ignition from the 7wY trailer plug).
    IMG_2297.jpg
the long frig power cord makes it look messy, had to leave enough slack to slide in/out and then wrap the rest and tied it up near the door so it wouldn’t get pinched
