The initial buffing was 3 yrs ago, took 20-ish hours to do the whole truck. Driver side was just as bad. Last Monday I washed with a wax stripping car wash (Chemical Guys "Clean Slate") and started buffing. Spent 4-6 hours buffing on Tuesday then 2-3 hours polishing on Wednesday. Finished up with Torque Detail "Mirror Shine" spray ceramic. F'n amazing how it turned out.

EDIT: I had zero experience doing anything like this.

I know this trail... A bit tight and scratchy. You'll love it!

Ah memories…This is how it all started for me. After these words were uttered by Pat, the great surveyor of Wolves, there was no turning back.

I mean that literally…the trail was too tight and scratchy to turn around. :D

That trail wasn't too bad, though I wasn't thrilled going down it. I had flashbacks when I f'ked my paint the first time. Least we found places to turn back.

That bit was pretty rough on my mirrors. They kept getting slammed back. Driver's side is a little wobbly now. I still need to do a deep clean inside and out of the truck and address the scratches. But... "it's not a show truck."

I still need to do something about the rear bumper too. Man I smashed those plastic bits up real good. @OldSchlPunk offered up some replacement pieces from his truck, but I still don't know what's all needed. One bolt holding on a large busted plastic piece took a direct hit from the rock I landed on and I'll have to get out the grinder to get it off I think.

I have been snooping around, looking at new high clearance rear bumpers, but don't know if one is in the budget right now. Anybody want to buy some hand carved spoons? :D

That’s not nearly as scratchy as the place I tried to lose gq up north on the twat - this pushed in the mirrors on both sides.

Or some of the spots in Missouri. This was shortly after I got the truck and put a scratch from the front headlight all the way to the taillight on the drivers side o_O

You can borrow my polisher, etc. anytime. I won't need it for quite a while. I have plenty of compound and cream. It is stupid easy to buff and polish, just takes some time and a 'lil persistance. Watch some vids. I kept telling myself, "It can not be that easy". It was.

EDIT: You will want apply a wax or ceramic coat when you finish. I used Torque Detail Mirror Shine ceramic spray, but if I did it again I'd use Groits ceramic. Torque may have a better shine, but Groits won the longevity battle.
