it's probably better answered by a body guy, but i believe the technique uses pry bars and hammers to 'massage' the metal to where it should've been

what do the squirters look like with the hood closed?

i really think you're looking at the wrong half of the hood. the front edge isn't going to affect the squirter direction at all, where the rear half is what sets the angle. specifically, i think the metal work i'm imagining is in the underside of the hood structure, where the squirter clips to the hood assembly.

I get that - But I'm just out of idea's since everything else looks normal to me. The underside of the hood also looks fine to me, I can't tell a difference from left to right to in the middle. Nothing stands out to me that would be causing any of this.

I'm hearing ya man, but IDK wth that means, lol. That doesn't make any sense to me.

The wiper nozzles also look the same to me with the hood down. I don't notice any difference. Apparently I'm not the only one confused by this since the body shop still hasn't fixed this...

i'm actually wondering if the rubber weather stripping on the hood cowl is interrupting the stream, and they're adjusting the squirter front/back to clear that weatherstripping...

It's possible - I'm willing to believe anything at this point. However, if you look at the picture I posted where the wiper fluid is puddled up, a lot of it is dripping from the underside of the hood where the lip is. That's what has me thinking the hood is just sitting way to low on that back corner or something.

OK, so think for this way. The nozzles for the windshield washer sprayers are not adjustable. There are three different Part numbers that allow for the adjustability of the spray. The way that is done is by changing the spray nozzle itself. If the spray pattern needs to be higher, the plus one is installed if the spray nozzle needs to be lower, the minus one is installed.

there is no adjustment for the squirter as you call them. They clip into a cutout and the lower side of the hood.

Okay, now that makes sense. I wasn't understanding each one was an actual different nozzle. If that's the case then, why would they have put the incorrect one on the truck when being built? You'd think they would know which one properly fits? Also, why are they not all the same? There shouldn't be 3 different nozzles that fit the hood. It should just be one that works on all Tacoma's of that year.

Im having the same problem as the OP had . I had to have the windshield replaced and ever since , the pass. side squirter hits the bottom of the hood , it barely hits the windshield. I went out to do the needle adjust but could not figure out how to do it . Ill be running to the dealership tomorrow. This is the first vehicle i have ever had that you couldnt adjust the nozzles

The dealer had to send my truck to an independent body shop to have it worked on. Fortunately, the shop had an identical Tacoma being worked on and they were able to compare the issue. I wish I knew exactly what they did but did not replace the hood. The repair has been good thus far. If you are curious, the body shop quoted $1500 if they were to replace the hood. This includes paint etc.

Anyone have the part numbers for the 3 different nozzles? I have a passenger side nozzle that forms a puddle on the cowl every use. 23’ TRDOR DCSB.
