Sleeping platform with Drawers

Hey everyone figured I might share this. Just completed this over the weekend and looking for some help. Wondering if anyone has done this and can point me in the right direction of where to look for some items. I made a bed platform with sliding drawers underneath. This is a short bed and I'm curious what mattress I should use on top. Want to fill as much of the space as possible. Also, any recommendations on carpeting for the wood so it doesn't get beat up? For my bed platform I used the cheapest outdoor carpet I could find and just stapled it in place, so if it ever does get beaten up I don't have to deal with glue removal too.

 

Looks good. There's a lot of threads on that link lol. Tried digging through managed to find some carpet which I will be installing Thursday. Do you put a mattress on top of yours and if so what brand/size?

 

I don't use mine for sleeping, it's for storage so I can keep valuables in the bed and not worry about them getting stolen.
You could post in that thread as it might get more attention there.

Have you done the ADM (accumulator delete mod) on yours?

 

I have seen it but was worried it may wear the clutch out prematurely. My whole thing is every manual is different between different models so I got used to the clutch pretty quick and don't feel the need to do it yet. If I go aftermarket I may consider it but want to see how others hold up long term first.

 

I'm at 50,000 miles with the delete still going strong.
I think if anything it will make the clutch last longer because the accumulator just makes the clutch slip for every shift.
But if you like how it shifts then there is no need to fix it, I couldn't stand the vagueness of the pedal so I did the delete right away when I bought the truck

 

im not entirely a fan of the shifting. I do find that its rough in between gears if its not perfect upshifting and will kinda jolt or "buck". Is this something that also will be fixed? How is the petal feel because I hear it is much lower than oem which would be nice. Was going to try and get a tune first to see if that changed anything

 

With the adm the release point is always the same. Before doing it I could never consistently get the RPMs and clutch release to match for a smooth shift. I would stall or get bucking every few hundred miles. Since doing it I never mess up a shift, it's always smooth like every other old manual car I've driven.

I did the adm when you had to remove the whole unit, now they have a plate that goes in the unit so you can undo it fairly easily if want.

 

gotcha im going to have to look into it. That was my biggest concern every youtube video I saw they just dremmled out the ports to allow flow. Must have changed since I last looked. This manual is definitely more finicky then my last car (2018 civic si coupe) but figured it was because it was an underpowered truck lol.

I used a Full size of this one and cut off the two small folding sections. It fits perfect.

 

I use a thick memory foam that us cut to size and it is incredible.
