This is on my roof, it's about the size of a nickel and has a rough feel to it when you rub it with your finger/finger nail.
Is this paint oxidation? Will it grow/spread? Can it be stopped or removed?IMG20240506185752.jpg

So will it spread like a rash like you see on cars on the road where it's an entire panel?

Sand and hit it with some clear coat.

I don’t think it’s clear coat failure. Your truck is just over 5 years old, you shouldn’t be experiencing that yet. I think it is either a flaw in the original factory paint or some substance like tree sap or something dropped on it.
If it’s the clear coat failing then you will soon notice other spots appearing. Since it’s on the roof no one is going to notice it. If no other spots appear then I’d lightly sand just that spot, put a little touch up paint on it and then clear coat.

Being on the roof no one will notice, you're right. Im just worried if it will spread if it's oxidation... Thanks for the advice. Any idea what grit sandpaper or pad to use?

Extra fine 240, 260 or maybe 280. Just lightly sand it to smooth out the roughness. All you need is one piece. Start with 280 and then see if you want finer or not.

Better yet. Try hand sanitizer on a detailing rag and then as much as I can guarantee it will come off follow with wax
