Understood, exposing the brisket to dirty smoke at the end of a cook would blanket the bark. How much penetration would that get?

I don't have issues with weather (unless you mean for storage. I know when it's cold out I use more pellets for a cook.

There's an outlet right on the back of the garage and I have a couple nice stention cords. Storage of pellets won't be too bad. I can keep them in a lidded bucket in the garage.

I actually saw the one I posted in Lowes today. Looked and felt like a solid unit. I almost bought it, but will wait till I get some money in. I have it, I'm just a tight wad and $500 would be the most expensive grill I've had

I had a Trager for a few years at my last house. It was great for ease of use and I ended up smoking way more food than I would have with a more labor intensive smoker. What I didn't like is that there was hardly any smoke flavor in any of my food. It was there, but very light, which was good for some things but not for everything.

My unsolicited advice to anyone who asks - and some who don't ask - is that if you're going to have only one grill, get a 26" Weber Kettle. It's not quite as easy to get going as a pellet grill, but it is very easy to use and it can do everything well.

If you need help assembling it, ask @StayinStock. I'm sure there's a broken hammer in the warehouse. Somewhere...

Ya mine is stored inside the garage when it's not in use. I roll it in and out when I used it. Next house and next smoker I may have to store outside which might mean less pellets for it so I don't have to worry about humidity messing them up when not in use. Even though my current one is stored in the garage I still have the full cover for it though lol.

I don't spend a lot on myself but my wife knows when I get something in my head that I really want it will show up at some point.

I'm one who waits and researches and watches for best prices but once I want it I want it. She is bracing now to see what my new smoker will be once we move (moving my current one on to my cousin)
