Story Time with Gritto


This one's a quickie and a rerun to boot.
I was doing an insurance repair job near Mercersburg for a cranky old guy.

One afternoon, as I was loading my tools in the truck, we got to talking.
He lived on a small farm out in the middle of nowhere, but they were putting in a big development across the road.

He pointed across the road and said:

"See that?
That really pisses me off.
I gotta get me some pigs."

I'm pretty sure I know what development you are talking about too. It's nuts how much it has grown up. I actually grew up in a house 5 miles down the road on BTW. There was nothing there but a farm field. Now over a hundred houses and duplexes

I don't have to worry too much about apartments or the such going up behind me. Having no public sewer deters that and only single family homes would be put there. I would lose the great view out the backyard though

Nah, the Rolling Hills development. Used to be nothing there when I was (still am ) a kid. Around 2001 it really took off. All the well drilling actually destroyed the well of the house I grew up in.
