If I were planning more dirt time and local riding vs the travelling I'd like to do on the bike, the CRF300L Rally would be my go to. Itchy Boots and Dork in the Road make me want one and I don't want to right dirt! LOL

It's got a huge aftermarket segment and a bunch of graphics kits so you can truly make it your own as well.

    Poll for the group:

I picked up a cheap oil filter for the XR650 yesterday from a brand I've used for years now. It has some glue from (what I'm assuming is) the assembly process squeezed out and on some of the fins. It's pretty solid and I'm sure it won't come off since it's rated for the temp/oil but it just doesn't look right to me.

For a ~$3 part would you risk it or ask for a replacement? I hate complaining but think it might be warranted in this case.

just a couple of things tbh
id imagine its fine? but if its that cheap you can always get another and leave that one as a backup. the only concern id have if that glue came off and went in the engine. id imagine it would be fine but i dont know fully.

thats why i want another set of plastics for the incase i damage them kinda thing. the yellow ones just kiinda showed up lol. a buddy of mine might also have a extended range fuel tank which tbh i would gladly throw on for dirt riding since the tank is so small and get a full graphics kit to go with the yellow

Why would you cheap out on an oil filter? Is it worth the couple dollars you might save? Get another one, a good one, just my opinion for what it's worth.

I totally agree. It's only about a dollar difference so it's not about the cost. I've used these long enough next to OEM that I have a reasonable amount of confidence in them, and I'm pretty paranoid when it comes to maitenence/upkeep.

Plus, due to some injuries and the nature of my riding, I could lose the drain plug in the driveway and probaby make it back home before anything catastrophic happens LOL

Just a lil excess glue when they put everything together. If you are worried about it breaking off... its on the side before filtration and the filter will get it.

    Run it.

Pics are too small on my phone. I hear you, but by the time you get those and the graphics you could have just got more green. :p

Good point about the filter side. I tried to break it off and it's defintely solid.

RMATV offered to send a replacement so I took them up on it. Always had great service with them

First day commuting from the new place and it took me 12 min!!

The ride is perfect, split through some traffic at lights, blast on to the highway through the gears, 2 exits later split through some traffic, some more stop lights and at work.

Previous commute was taking me 1 hour with 30+ min of splitting. I love riding but not when Im forced to go to work. Can’t wait to have more energy to actually go ride where I want.

oh uhh give me a sec then.
haha im getting the plastics today and talked him down to 80 bucks lol. the green plastics are harder to find and people want money for the dang thangs.. i will prob try and get some eventually so that i have a spare set just incase i crash or something again lol. but i also like the idea of techincallly two different bikes lol green for the street and yellow for the dirt haha. now the question is to keep the rims polished or get some of the vinyl stuff and make it black hmmm

hopefully you can see this better lol. i added a few more in that me and a buddy were talking about as well. a good amount of them are retro themes since thats what i do like on the drz it just kinda fits it even if you make it look modern like ive done. also all of these graphics can be altered or stuff added.

so ya let me know because it took me forever to find the ones i have now on my bike lmao

    12min commute FTW!!!!

Your personal time outside of work is HUUUUUGE... I have always said everyone needs to take into consideration where they work and the commute and factor that into your overall "work time".

I'm partial to the black and red ones in the left column, myself. (1st one and the last two) What ones are you liking most?

that’s fair, my current bike is so scratched and beaten I can’t put decals on it but I’ve seen the Honda single decal on here that’s amazing.
