Wheels that go on a 3rd gen Tacoma and 5th gen 4R will not fit the 4th and 6th gens respectively. Unless you use a hub ring adapter and like a ridiculous amount of wheel poke.

Yep, I was going to look for a set I like with 0 or positive backspacing. I’ve seen the -12/-10 on the 4th gen and it’s a little too much for what I’d like.

Can’t be sure 100% that the same wheels will fit the newer gen 4R but some pictures showed a possibly Off Road trim with the same wheels as the new Tacoma Off Road.

Still plenty of time to figure what I want to do and every week will be a different thing.

Driving through Frederick yesterday, I saw a nice looking used Land Cruiser at a dealership with a big window sticker than said $28K. I couldn’t help myself so I stopped to look at it because I usually only see them north of $50K, even used.

It was a 2008 with almost 200K miles on it lol. Looked great from far away but up close it was beat and I couldn’t believe they were even asking that much for it.

 

Hey y'all. Hope things are well; been a crazy couple of weeks with a road trip to michigan tucked in. Truck still needs the axle done - I have the OEM one ready to roll, and a big-honkin impact wrench - just need an air compressor for the CV boot swap tool. I think i'll start pulling the old axle this weekend. Was thinking about time and how fast it passes lately. I suppose the speed at which time seems to pass is directly inversely proportional to the degree you desire it to go by. When we desperately want more time laying, bodies pretzled together with the person we love the most, it's then alarms sound...kids wake up...their spouse comes home...and we have to get up for work, make breakfast for the children, or jump out the window.

You'll thank me: Strawberry and Jalapeno Salsa

2 or so Cups diced Strawberries.
1/3 cup diced red onion
1-3 diced jalapenos; seeds removed, but leave as much of the white 'ribs' as you want, as the ribs are where the heat is.
1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
3 tbl spoons lime juice, fresh
lightly salt - maybe a teaspoon.

Corn tortillas, small. Cut into triangle pieces (6 per tortilla). Fry in 2" deep oil (i used olive oil at about 320 degrees) until just starting to look tan. Remove to a drain towel and sprinkle with kosher salt. Cook up about "a lot" of 'em. Seal when cool.
Combine that stuff, seal it up, eat it tomorrow with those homemade corn chips.


As an aside - fry a flour tortilla until tan/golden. Schmear butter when it's out of the pan, still warm. Sprinkle a LOT with Cinnamon and Sugar. Spread the salsa on the tortilla, then drop dark chocolate pieces. (truth in lending: I've never made what I just described, but I think it'll be great).

 

Sounds good, I’ll have to try it.

I swear I’m not gonna get one. Lol.

The wife’s car is like 20 years old so she gets the next vehicle. I’m still busy trying to figure out what I’m gonna do to my 3rd Gen next.

@hyrule_trd you should just see if he wants to trade. Your truck is really nice so that would be a fair trade

 

My wife is not on board with me getting a newer truck. something about having to save for my kids college…
That and I’m heavily considering the 6th gen 4R since it comes in green and can do 90% of what I need.

 

Unfortunately the SR does not have the stuffs I want
