I think most people now don't even try to discern what is BS on that hellsite, because there's so little useful information in the first place.

Point a camera at your face, make up some BS for 10 min. and call yourself an influencer. People will sit there drooling all day at your "entertainment content" and cross post it on Tacomaworld.

Like what? The SR/SR5/OR/Sport upgrade packages are kind of a joke for what they charge.

This. They know the market far better than any of us ever will. We can all sit here and speculate, act like we know what we are talking about, but in reality we don't know.

They know what they are doing.

    I built a standard cab F250 / 7.3 gasser
    With locker and gooseneck…… $55k

I am not married, have no kids, and don’t need more space in my truck.

Just hope they still make a standard in a few more years.

remember forum members maybe count for about 10% of the buying public for toyota. toyota is catering to the 90% of the population that could care less about what forums talk about. they go buy what co workers or water cooler discussions are had or friends/family members

good exmaple : chrome is a big deal to the majority of the buying public cause they equate it to high class/ premium class.

only people that really abhor it is the forum people.

Where did you get those percentages from? There is no way its 10% lol.

Most people research their vehicles before they buy them. That's a fact. When "googling" about issues with certain vehicles it usually points them to forums like this.

What does post count mean? He reads and waits and thinks before adding his/her 2 cents?

and the point? i have 2300 posts but i stopped when we traded our 2016 into a 2018 tundra then to a 2023 tundra. we have been thinking of down grading to a new tacoma since the wife wants to get back to parking in the garage during out ND winters but right now its hard to me to justify the down grade. i mean we only paid 63k for our 23 plat tundra non hv and a limited hv tacoma is 59k msrp the way we want it configured.

if the numbers are like i want we might, but i cant get over how the driver seat is still more cramped than my 14 4runner and i wont even get into the issue of comparing the seat space vs a tundra.

In April 2024 the Ranger sold at a rate of 144 a day. In 2023 the ranger sold at a rate of 140 a day.

    No..

My point is why post that much if you don't actually own a Tacoma? Just seems weird to join a forum for the sake of trying to prove points about a vehicle you don't own.

The problem with Ford and the ranger is that the are kneecapping themselves. They could easily market themselves with the ranger against the tacoma, etc etc. But if they do that, they then also take away F150 sales. And if they do that, they risk this claim to fame:

    https://www.kbb.com/car-news/ford-f-series-is-americas-best-selling-vehicle-for-41st-year/

I don't know if there are any legalities to worry about, but Ford should have made the ranger the F150 Ranger (like it used to be) or the F100 or F50 or something like that, and brought it into the F series. They aren't going to let that title go without a fight, and increasing ranger sales means losing a significant chunk of F150 sales, while the super duties would probably remain unaffected.
