just a couple of things tbh
hmm so if we were going off numbers on how they are posted.
    i like
1 for the modern but kinda classic ish look for suzuki
    2 for the colors
4 this one gives me that retro vibe that i like but its colors im not sure about?
6 another retro but better colors the only thing im not a fan of is the all black tank it seems kinda boring to me? so maybe if it was yellow like the rest it would be fine?
7 its simple and clean and looks good buuuut is boring af with very little of well anything. it looks more like someone put stickers

i want to like 5 with twisted tea because it looks old school but the twisted tea part is kinda ugly lol

oh you can put graphics on torn up plastics lol. mine are pretty old and have a fair of blemishes here and there and the graphics went right on no issues with the proper prep and clean work.

if you want new plastics thankfully for dirtbikes they are not to pricey for new ones then you can get a cool graphics!

    Nice!

When I was growing up my dad worked construction as a union electrician so we're talking big construction projects and once complete you moved on to the next job. I can remember a period of time where he and 3 other workers car pooled to a job that was nearly 3 hours away from our home. He would have to get up and leave the house by 4:30 am to meet the car pool by 5:00 then they'd be on the road and be at work in time to start at 8:00, work until 4:00 then not get home until around 7:30 each night and they did this for at least 3 years. I made up my mind back then I would never have a job that required more than 30 minutes of travel time each way.

On a separate note, some time ago you had posted a Harbor Freight / Icon small tool kit that was small enough to pack under the seat of a bike. It was a flex head 1/4" ratchet with about 30 different bits and I bought one after seeing the one you posted. I sorted through the supplied bits and removed most as they were useless to me on the FJR and added some 1/4" drive sockets that I could use. A few weeks ago I attended a FJR tech day in VA and damn did that little tool kit get used! Several FJR forum members made use of it and several took photos of it with their phones so they'd remember to go buy one. Thanks for that little tip!

I dont know how people do such long commutes! It really does ruin the rest of the day. I also like that the commute is so short I can take the KTM (or even the truck…) so the Yamaha can have some downtime. I remember having to rush the Versys valve job to have it running for the next week’s commute, whereas now I am considering just taking the S10 apart and having the tank and fairings wrapped in clear PPF at a shop.

Also, glad to hear the Icon tool kit came in handy! I’ve used it so many times on non-bike related things, but just so happened to have that kit on me (or at least on the bike).

Did you manage to fit the 1/4” sockets into the case? I have a set of 6-13mm 1/4” hex sockets that I carry in the tool box. Otherwise I left the tool kit as is, except I replaced the Philips and Pozidrive bits with JIS ones since I only work on Japanese bikes and the Philips stuff will strip JIS screw heads.

Weather looking brutal the next week or so.... Might have to put a jacket on in the morning only to have to take it off later.

hell yeah! I'm curious to know how you and @Deathbysnusnu got your pups' names...mine was named after the FX animated show. personality lines right up too lol.

I think you'd be pretty surprised what can be done with spray paint when the time is taken to do it well, but it is a process for sure.

Now buy another set of plastics and start practicing :boink:

I'd run it, but peace of mind is priceless

beer is dehydrating, that $45 saves him a lot of sweat and nutrients

    I got your back @gixxerphil
