Why raptor lights?

Only raptor lights you'll see me running.

Offroad guys just don't get it

 

I have this hanging around ... been looking for an excuse to use it ...

 

Some people thinks it looks cool. Some suggested me to put them on.

But to me, it looks tacky. Not my thing.

They are cheap easy and fit

the truck is not stock. The tires are not. The weight is not. I don’t need Hyundais trying to go side ways in front more than they already do, and thinking it’s a sedan
Which in stock lighting is the same as a sedan.

when I bought my truck a used raptor was the same price

 

If you don’t fill every available hole in your grille, do you really have grille lights?
Seems like a waste of grille lighting potential

 

Not my thing anymore. They looked cool till over done, but it doesn't make it look like a Ford. I could afford any truck I wanted but a Tacoma was what looked great to me plus I like my Toyotas.

 

I have to pass on Raptor lights. They just remind me of the "hill billy stuff" I saw people doing to their cars and trucks years ago when they thought it was cool to wire up extra lights. This was before ground effect lighting.
I think I would feel like a yay-ho. Fog lights and driving lights are fine. If I did that id have to get a set of fuzzy dice to hang on the mirror as well.

 

Wasn't a fan of those lights until I saw yours. Very classy. Hard to install/wire?

 

Know what you own.
It's what's on the inside/underneath that counts.

 

My favorite part about raptor lights is half of them I see at least one is either not working or flickering lol.

Starting on post# 117 is my install of vintage grill which is when I attached the Raptor Lights.

Watched this video to route the wiring so the lights come on when the headlights come on. (At 4:00 describes how I connected mine)

I used "add-a-fuse" and was able to route through without pinching the cover. (at 4:45 he describes how to route)

 

To each their own. Some like the way they look and some don't. If I do them with the PRO grill, I wouldn't be doing them as a "fad" or to look like anyone else. I would actually be doing them bc no one around here has them. I would be doing them so I DON'T look like every other Taco on the road. Do what you like and enjoy it, who cares what the haters think.

 

They are not really Raptor lights. If in a Tacoma, they are Tacoma accessory. Just like many adding Pro grilles, or wheels and tires, you pick it, everybody should mod as they want and proudly move down the road. If you like lighting accessories, go for it!

 

They go extra well with non functional Chinese red nipple rings to give your vehicle that ultimate Wal Mart automotive aisle special look

I've been toying with adding a custom Larson scanner in my scoop. I've got a bunch of individually addressable RGBW LED's to play with.
