Yes the 2019 monkey has the 4speed with the bigger bore shorter stroke engine. The 22 grom I had was the 5speed smaller bore longer stroke. I like the 4speed engine better.

Interesting, curious as to your thoughts on those two motors. Given your first hand experience.

I feel like the original bore n stroke motor which was already somewhat undersquare for decent low end could of benefitted from an evenly spaced 5 speed straddling the overall gear ratios on the top n bottom side vs the 4 speed that has some odd gaps and a quite tall first gear.

But never ever really understood why they went with even MORE of an undersquare setup on the later bikes.

FX Archer FTW. Luv that show! We were gonna go with Krieger at first, but thought that too on-the-money for a GSD, so Archer it was.

Seems we go with whatever we're watching at the time. :rofl:One of our last, we named River, from Firefly.

just a couple of things tbh
Anyone want some soup? It has a bit of a plastic taste but I'm sure adding some salt and pepper it would be just fine!

But no I get i could have pressure washed these but after 2-3 hours of sleep after tornado bs last night this was as much effort as I was willing to do haha

The plastics show the abuse of well a dirtbike so they are not perfect but for 60 bucks it's fine and a graphics kit will cover it all anyways!

so ill say this about the wr250r. i have never owned one but my buddy sold his drz400sm (converted to dirt spec) for one. his opinion is its a great little bike for offroad and trails but when it comes to road it honestly sucks according to what he stated about it. the bike likes to wander about and never truly stay planted on the road and is rather wobbly. he still loves it and enjoys it on trails but he liked his drz400 as a dual sport a lot more then the wr250

buy used... buying a new dirtbike or dual sport tbh is kinda nuts... when you can find ones on marketplace for good prices used. hell in my area ive seen a few honda 300ls right at 3500 with 4k miles and ive heavily thought about buying it for a second bike to play with and to let the gf ride.

Damn it I missed the sale, just remembered and went back looking for the code. It's working but only 10% off now.

I may splurge on the Cardo Neo dual pack, still deciding though. This is my first bluetooth com so trying to read up and compare. I likely don't need half the features as I've survived this long without one, but trying to determine if it's a buy once cry once situation.

I have a 25 mile commute one-way. Some days, I absolutely love it. Great excuse to go for a ride, or listen to some music or a new podcast episode on days I take the truck. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Other days, I can’t be home fast enough.

Same graphics basically. It’s technically just the OEM plastics, but now with some stickers and black number plates instead of the camo to give it more of a graphics look.

    :anonymous:

I figured out how to get it to fit the bike even better and cinch down. We’re ready to rock now! Just gotta get a skid plate.

I tried to run to the local MC shop at 9(when they were suppose to open) and drop my tire off. I waited around for 10 minutes and nobody showed.....had to come back to work

question for everyone that does more just dirt trails and such.

would you buy a larger tank to be off in trails or just buy another oem tank?

with doing my dirt setup im looking at a different tank for offroad use.

was looking at the acerbis 3.9gal tank which would allow for more time on trails and not needing gas (which i almost ran out in colorado and there was only two gas stations near me!)

the stock drz400 tank i think? is 2.6gal if i remember correctly.

now the big difference is cost. the oem one i can get on ebay for like 120 bucks while the extended tank is about 240 price dont matter im more interested in would you guys just stay with the oem or go with the aftermarket?

    oem tanks.

acerbis natural tank. yes i want the natural to see the level when offroad. i will get a graphic made for it thou to cover it somewhat lol (yes the company i go with does good with plastic tanks so it wont come off)

I had the IMS 4 gallon on mine. Would do again

    20190831_162426.jpg

That rear rack came from Happy Trails and would hold a 1 gallon roto in it and still be flat on top.

I didn't like the look of the factory side pieces, so I went full tank. They have a yellow I believe.............I was trying to swap to all white :D

see i like the little side things idk why but i do lol. yes they do have a yellow but i want the clear so i can glance at the tank and see how much fuel is in it and since ill be getting a graphics kit it will cover most of it so that is fine by me. man you and all white i swear lol also that is super easy on a drz!
