    That is a really beautiful truck, great choice of tires too. Your review makes me want to jump from 3rd Gen to 4th! It’s nice to see the occasional post that isn’t immediately bashing the 4th Gen. Glad you like the truck and congrats!

    :rofl::rofl:

    I already have too many memories with my 3rd gen to trade it in, plus it’s finally about where I want it (famous last words).

    Looks good and exactly the type of info I'm looking for. My plan is to buy "SOMETHING" sometime in 2025. The 4th gen Tacoma is on my short list but I'm waiting to see.

    My wife drives a 2020 Explorer with Fords 2.3L turbo engine. The power and fuel economy are amazing. I've never seen anything with the acceleration this engine has. Will make you forget about bigger engines. Ford has been putting turbo engines in trucks since 2011. They had some minor issues the 1st year or 2, but they have proven themselves. I'm sure Toyota will build a good one too.

    Just some 35% tint to match the rears and some 285/70/17 Falkens…

    Thank you....yes sir they def did. I think once they're out there in mass quantities, and the dealers give a little discount, a lot of the doubters will get in line...

    Any MPG update on the 33s? I have an SR5 that I'm on the fence between 265s and 285s. I know the 285s will look great, but are they worth the mpg ding.

    Edit: Just realized you only started the thread yesterday. :facepalm:Any forthcoming mpg updates would be appreciated though!

    Nice truck, I like this generation so much more than previous generation. Waiting for the hybrids to hit the lots so I can compare both then I might pull the trigger sooner than expected.

    Sure thing I took some interstate today....speeds 65-72 mph...looked the trip average was just over 23 MPG...so if there was any change at all from the 33s, it's minimal...

    Similar to BMunster, I have had 6 Tacomas--1998,2004,2005,2010,2018, and now a 2024 TRD OR. The most disappointing truck was the 3rd gen 2018 V6 auto TRD OR--gear hunting, no low end power, harsh suspension, and limited braking. The best, by far, is the 2024 TRD OR turbo 4 cylinder 8 speed auto!! It has the torque where we need it (low end), has the gearing and shift points just right, stops well, compliant ride quality, and a pleasure to drive. Even the mpg is slightly better than the 3rd gen. Toyota obviously listened to their customers when designing the 4th generation Tacoma--I am very pleased with this unit.

    Cheers,
    db

    A little of this and a little of that.
    @BMunster Congrats on your new truck, it’s a great looking truck.

    I’m also a long time Toyota truck owner, having 8 trucks starting back in 1984. Toyota has always built a great 4 cylinder engine, and I have confidence that these new ones will be no different. Even with the hair-dryers…o_O

    As a fan of the three pedals, I’m glad to see they still offer manual transmissions.
