haha Krieger would have been great. He's my first...9.5 years old now so he's gettin up there

Dang it! There will prob be another big one coming up for memorial day but idk if you can wait that long?

Neo and Edge are virtually the same, only difference is Edge snaps on magnetically, and has 1 year extra warranty. Unless you mean comparing with other brands. I hear it's best to get whatever the people you ride with use, to avoid issues mixing brands RE: connectivity

I need it by 5/24, so won't be able to wait unfortunately but good to know.

And thanks that's helpful, I also saw the Edge has a version that integrates with the KTM app but no idea what benefit that adds or if it's only for the new model bikes.

I mostly ride solo so not too locked in on brand, although @BkerChuck has Sena so would make sense to go with that. He also mentioned we could talk through the phone which would eliminate connectivity issues? I don't know...I've looked at these things for too long just need to pick one ha

yeah idk much about the integration with KTM. you could definitely do a standard phone call to eliminate connectivity issues, but depending where you're riding that could present a challenge if you don't have decent reception. whereas the units have bluetooth or their own mesh connection system that simply rely on range.

I do believe you can use sena with cardos as well, but it's a little tricky to pair, and it would just be the bluetooth connection, i don't think their proprietary ecosystems are compatible.

I never used a Sena, but it seems the most common is Cardo. I've only known 2 people personally who use Sena

I kinda switched to GMRS - meaning I bought a gmrs handheld radio, but still use the cardo for music. I also ride solo, and rarely am just talking with someone. GMRS is good for range and if you dont need to be in constant contact.

    What about this:

That's interesting, my Cardo connects almost every time automatically upon startup, only twice have I needed to reboot it to connect.

I have a Freecom 4+ . In order for me to use apple carplay, I need to connect it to my phone, and then plug in phone to bike. I also need to select that I have a headset connected, and it should recognize and connect CarPlay. Then I can have music.

I use Amazon streaming, but if the app asks me if Im still listening, then I get choppy audio in my helmet, and have to turn bike off, close the message in the app on my phone, and then restart and reconnect everything.
Maybe I should get a different streaming service..
