I ran a Ford internet department for 6 years in the early to mid 10's. Ford Direct would automatically load our incoming inventory onto our website. It also listed it's current location (In Plant, In Transit), most manufacturers do the same. I could hide customer orders so it didn't show up on the website, but Toyota doesn't offer that luxury so it's moot. Ford custom orders are green window stickers so easy to spot anyways.

Dunno. The issue I was addressing is the listing is deceiving. "New Arrival" means to me that it is in stock. Must mean the same to the previous OPs since the discussion was to how the Pros were already showing up at dealers. This I find hard to believe. Not that they aren't being delivered, but that they are being listed for sale. First hand I know there is a considerable line for the halos at my dealership. Any that arrive are already spoken for. Very doubtful any dealer has to list a halo right now.

but it has a full vin and not a placeholder temp vin. so it has to been built or currently in production. if its a temp vin it would have a letter in the last 6 numbers of the vin.

Don't care. Still not at the dealer. And when it arrives, already sold to customer/another dealer. Just telling you pent up demand for the halos right now won't have them available to pick off the lot. Source? Me. Again, I am not saying it doesn't exist. I am saying right now it is not going to be on the lot.

yep agree. even the dealer i normally buy does the same thing. heck they even put our 23 tundra on the website when it was already sold to us.

did the same thing with our 2016 tacoma, already sold to us and they still put it on the website for sale. funny part, our neighbor across the street tried to buy it and told us the story about trying to buy it after seeing it on the website.

was a good story laugh. he eventually bought a red tacoma.

still have fond memories of the 2016 tacoma.

yeah that one has a temp vin, cant be in transit since it hasnt even been built. that "B" in the sequence number gives it away :)

An update from my post last night. I put some black 3rd gen replica decals on my new offroad. I'm still not sure if I will leave them on. If anything else, these are a piece of cake to remove compared to the cheap decals of this new generation.

I think it looks really good. Much better that the other option. The OEM do not look proportional at all. Much too small.

he will probably buy a pro and wrap it and trick it out like his Tundra pro he had previously.
