Love the blue flakes in the paint, too bad you can only see it right after a wash hahaPXL_20240508_232105507.jpg

This is true... The metallic flake has proven to be very forgiving as far as black paint goes. My wife has a deep black SUV with no flake.... If you look at it wrong it gets scratched. My buddy has a 23 SR5 and they went away from the flake... He traded in his 20... needless to say he isn't thrilled.. the metal flake is much easier to take care of and it looks so much better when clean.

1-1/2 years old and she’s already full of light scratches. However it is a work truck. Just took off the 31” BFG T/As I run in the winter, snows finally done. (Famous last words) Maybe this weekend I’ll put some elbow grease on the Beautiful Metallic Black paint. Once you go black you never go back.

So true, that look doesn’t last long if it is a daily driver.

Ok, I had to post this 22 again. I just spent nearly 8 hours cleaning and waxing, by hand, and got it looking pretty sharp once again. These Northern Michigan winters are hell on paint.

Unfortunately for me, the only modifications left are all expensive. Supercharger, air lockers, and suspension.

Once those are done (might never do supercharger), I won't know what to spend my money on...

Both are nice, but I didn't buy a GMC, Chevy, Ford, or any other vehicle over the Taco for a reason. I've been driving a Tacoma for a long time and I'm partial. I'll never get tired of this truck .
That GMC is certainly sharp... But most ppl here can see past the aesthetics and know the Tacoma is just a better truck. Your truck is setup nice too. Dished wheels look better than the wheels on that GM. Nice job. The grill on the Taco is already a lil too big.... Look at that GMC... The grill is just too big for my taste as well (the headlights look nice tho)

Whenever I post here it's generally right after I wash and wax. Glaumor shots so to speak. However, my truck lives most of its life dirty. It took me a few years to realize the fact that black paint actually looks ok when it's dirty. I don't care so much for keeping it clean anymore.. I just like using it the way it was intended to be used - like a pickup.

There's rarely a day I dont use the bed for something. Earlier in the week I grabbed some mulch, my wife and I love finding lakes to go on kayak adventures, I ride my bike about 5x a weekt, so I'm constantly throwing it in the bed. I can't drive anything other than a truck... The Taco is a Swiss army knife kind of vehicle. Love it.

Reminds me of a Silverado. Would like to see it in a different angle.

Nothing like a clean Midnight Black Metallic McFly.
    Now Biff....I wanted 2 COATS.....
    IMG_20240611_194403572.jpg

My first gen dark red Tacoma always had a deep red/orange tint to it on overcast days. Much like my old truck my new truck has a bluish tint to it on overcast and cloudy days. It has to be clean to see it. From the right angle it's really nice looking. Toyota has some nice metallic paint.
