Hey so I’m very new to car stuff. I’ve just gotten into taking care of my Tacoma. I’ve done a lot of the general maintenance tasks for it. But I now have the itch to keep improving the truck. I would like to buy some new parts for the suspension I just don’t know what to start with or what not to leave out. I was gonna buy new shocks and LCAs but do t know what else.

    Thanks for your time

Are you keeping OEM height or upgrading to coilovers for a possible lift? Endless possibilities, which is a good thing.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
You don't want to just get shocks. You want full coilovers for the front, and for the rear either an AAL or new leaf pack with new shocks. Do some searches here on TW in the suspension section. Anything more than 2" lift I would suggest to get upgraded UCAs.

For a budget, but still good option, research OME coils with Nitrocharger shocks, or maybe Eibach springs with Bilstein shocks for the front. For the rear, some may recommend an AAL, but IMO it is better to get a full replacement leaf pack since your truck is already 7 years old. Look at OME, Dakar, or custom Alcan leaf packs.

Get in touch with @HeadStrong Off-Road . Good vendor here with great customer service. They can help get you dialed in for what you are looking for.

Call @memario1214 at Hotshot Offroad for some of your options.

You'll need to provide lots of information related to your goals (here, or with any vendor) to get the best results..

If a vendor doesn't ask a lot of questions you probably want to move on.

As @Clearwater Bill stated it really comes down to how you're using the truck! You probably don't need new LCAs unless you are planning on going long travel or have something that has gone bad with your current ones. Shoot me a message here or give us a call whenever and we can work towards a solution for you. Happy to help!
