    King shocks!
I bought a 4x4 about 2 years ago and cant really do anything else suspension wise up front without spending a shit load of money. I have kings front with TC UCA's and kings in the back but cant get the front up anymore. To bad they dont make lift spindles for the 4x4. Would it be worth it at all to take off and sell the whole front diff/ whole 4x4 set up? or would that be just plain dumb. Probably a dumb questions but wanna see what you guys think. thanks

I want daker leafs in the back which will raise it a few inches! making it sit with the rear higher. i have the front kings at 2.5 inches and dont wanna crank them up anymore. having a 2wd i could get lift spindles for the front and would only have to set the front shocks at 1 to 1.5 inches

spindles are only slightly less than a 6" Procomp or fabtech lift. If you're willing to buy spindles if you were capable a few more dollars for a procomp or fabtech lift ain't much difference.

btw, the reason you can't just use larger spindles is due to the front differential and drive axles... thats why you can't just drop in spindles on a 4wd. DB lifts actually get there lift from larger spindles but You need a drop bracket and need to lower the differential. 2wd do not have this problem...

You would be an idiot for selling the 4x4 components just to get an extra 1-2" of lift. Save a few dollars then when you're ready get a 6" I think a basic kit is like $1600 bucks... oh and you could sell the UCAs for some cash when you get the 6" lift

Or you could always do a ghetto body lift

I must have missed a beat. How is the procomp settling? Settling would be ditching the 4x4 to get a few inches so your truck looks better but doesnt function as well. A procomp gives you both, form and function.

OP lives in Arizona apparently (according to his profile). I think a lot of people in this thread are forgetting us crazy west coast people like to go fast in the desert. A good suspension setup is way more important than 4wd, which is why everyone has long travel'ed prerunners out here.

As for his question, one option you could look at is All Pro's 4wd "long" travel kit. It's technically a mid travel kit, since you're getting 12" of travel. (vs. about 8-10 with your coilovers) This would give you 4 inches of lift, and since it's 2" wider on each side you'll have more room for tire clearance, etc. That's about as good as you can get without doing a real long travel kit.

New UCA's have nothing to do with the CV boot issue.

If you had enough for kings, why not just save up for an RCD lift? Will give you 4.5" or so and be great.. In the end i would imagine you would be much much happier with yourself if you just waited to do it right and not ditch your 4x4.

Stick on hood scoop from Autozone.
Giving up the ability to use your front wheels for spindles is the epitome of retard.

I've heard of worse. For instance you could give up your Tacoma for a H3, or a Land Rover.
