If you could start from the beginning, with a $1,000 budget and no backorders, what new wheels would you pick for your truck? I was thinking SEMA at first but everyone and their mom has a set. Wanted to see if anyone else had anything different in mind!

Our vote would be for the KMC Dirty Harry, it comes in textured black, matte bronze and satin grey.

Not new but close too. Slightly used in excellent condition Method 701's 17x8.5 set of 5 for $900 cash. Deals can be found with patience, but you have to move fast when found.

I like it! Retro with a touch of modern! I'm going to look into those!

Those are great. I have no use for beadlocks as I never air down below ~15 psi (my truck is 2wd, never hitting anything that hard), so major selling point!

Most of FN's wheels are about $1000 per set of 4. I got the countersteer type-x put on a couple weeks ago and love them so far.

Those look great, I've been recommended that company before! How does the 4.1" backspacing affect rubbing, turning, etc.? Im looking to keep stock height so that is one concern for me.

Sorry I can't really help with that aspect. I'm on those wheels with 1.25" spacers, 35s, CMC, and trimmed fenders.

That's the dream one day. Living in a college town means I need to keep my truck as small as possible to fit into "parking spots," if you can even call them that. :annoyed: Just looked at your profile, beautiful truck man.

701's are one of the wheels in Methods Bead Grip series. (they are not bead lock) being 2wd I would think airing down would be more important.

You're completely right, I was just pointing out that most of my off-road travel won't require super low pressure. Maybe I will get more into it, though! I appreciate the suggestion!

Would you happen to know if the -10mm would rub with stock tires? That set caught my eye on their website, price is right as well!

It will not rub. Those are 255 85 17 basically 33x11 they rubbed a little but stock tires will not.

2020+ stock Sport wheels are a dang good looking wheel to me, especially with a better looking tire mounted. Never really liked the Semas and definitely didn’t like anything aftermarket, but that’s just me.

Also the F5s are much lighter than most after market wheels and have the bead knurl so airing down won't be an issue

I keep going back and forth! I would either grab new wheels or new tires. As a broke college student who's blessed to have a truck like this, my options are slim.
