Sure, and I get that it is going to be that way, but I don't have steering wheel controls so having open connections leads me to believe that there is something missing. Just have to continue digging

Figured it out! I'm sure it might have been in this thread already and I overlooked it but I had to program the controls. Figured it out at a stop light and was finished setting it up as soon as the light changed.

IMG_7749.jpg IMG_7749.jpg Anyone get a black screen of death? It made a pop sound then tried to reboot. It took a long time. It connected to Car Play. Nothing actually worked or at least the touch screen didn’t. I got to work and turned off the truck. When I turned the truck back in my screen is black.

I have now checked all my fuses and the are good. I unplugged everything from the back of the unit and let it sit for 10 minutes while I was checking and still black screen. What is the RST button?

Tried the RST button and nothing. The back lights on the left side were turning on with the headlights now they stopped working.

Bummer! Hold the reset button in for like 6 seconds. Then the buttons on left should flicker and the CPU should reboot. Careful when you do it, I finally cracked mine screen while I was driving lol.... Bone headed move and super lame.

I hope your screen didn't burnout..

There's also a fuse on the back, did you check it?

I checked it. Googled up Dasitai black screen and tried everything. Finally took it apart and unplugged everything and plugged it back in. I’m talking the ribbon wiring in the unit. Put it all back together turned on my key and it fired right up and connected to my phone. I put pandora on and my phone was buffering. When I went back to touch the screen it wasn’t responsive and about 5 seconds later went black again:frusty: I thought I had it fixed. I’m going to eat dinner with the battery undone and see if I can get it to work again and try to get into the screen brightness and turn it way down. It’s not super bright but I had a problem before with the screen brightness. Who knows. It’s about to get a cracked screen too:smash:

Well it kinda worked. Made it into settings and it was maxed out brightness. Turned it all the way down about 3 minutes later black screen of death. I’m over trying to fix it and will order another one.

I get that. I would move on too lol. Sorry to hear it didn't work out.

There's a bunch of new rad head units out there. For the price, dasaitas are just super functional. I would like to get the one that swivels.

There's the Tesla looking one that makes your ac control digital. Not sure how comfortable i would be with that.

I really like how clean this one looks. It looks OEM. I’ll check out the Tesla one seems how my clock is epoxied to my old one.

Does anyone the specs of the screw that goes from the bracket to the stock radio? Not the mounting bolt to the frame but the one that attaches the bracket to the radio. I seem to have lost mine and haven't been able to find the answer. Much appreciated!

No idea. Might have mine laying around in a box. No guarantee though. I'll take a look and let you know. :)

Used mine to run Colorado's "Cotrex" all weekend. I love having the big map on the dash while offroad. It was the major reason I installed it.

Hopefully people still monitor this thread.........

    2 Things

    1. Anyone find a good place to get a holder for the hazard area? mine is still not seated in there because it was for a 1st gen i believe (i have a 2015)

    2. Anyone have an issue where the sound shuts off in reverse but comes back in P/N/D? Any suggestions?

I hot glued mine in. Easy to clean up and isn’t stupid permanent. The other question I don’t have any idea but have a hunch it’s something to do with the reverse camera. I didn’t mess with plugging in my reverse camera because I kinda like it in my rear view mirror.

Do you have any photos of where you put the hot glue?

I didn't have the option. Mines a 2015 and it was in the unit.
