hey yall this is my first post here so go a lil easy on me, i just got my first yota a few months ago its an 02 double cab 4x4 with a V6 i dont go mudding too often but (only been once, well in my truck) i clean it right after, including under carraige. i plan to add alot of stuff to it, i alrewady have a great brush guard, but i plan to get a 3 inch lift at the very least, tail light guards, and a few other things the exhaust by the looks of it needs to be replaced in 2 or 3 years, it looks brand new, i wash it every week, the catch is i just hit 200,000 miles i am also putting in a can air filter, any other reccomendations? and how long do you think this truck has (i was thinkin bout 400,000 miles)

First off welcome to TW, secondly a big part will depend on how it was maintained prior to you purchasing it. Oh, and we are going to need some pics of it too :D

Anytime you get a previously enjoyed vehicle it never hurts to change all of the fluids so you can start a new maintance schedule and you will know things where changed.

    She's gone but not forgotten.
Assuming it was well maintained before you got it and you take care of it well I wouldn't be surprised to see it go 200K or more!

My mother's 97 Corolla has had the oil changed ONCE in 11 years and it has 117K on it! I'm about to put a radiator and belts in it, those haven't been touched either.

I tried to tell him about it, and even gave him the number to call, but he didnt think they would do anything. Too bad for him, I guess.

My 98 tacoma 4cyl. is just about to get an oil change at 243,000 miles. I bought it with 218,00 and immediately had it inspected and replaced all the belts, fluids, filters, and spark plugs. I drive it 30-40 miles a day with no problems whatsoever. It starts great, runs great, and shows no sign of dying soon. I expect it to last at least 300,000 miles or more!
