    Post your work here!

Learned quite a bit reading Zane's posts and helping a friend with his own 63 swap

Might not get a Taco in the future but would be applicable to a Pick Up anyway

Slag factory. Seemed to be a lot cheaper than Ruffstuff and similar design. I wanted the gradual angle of the front perch unlike some. Buddy used the barnes kit and was getting hung up on the front perch quite a bit this past summer. Only downside of these not being french is that lip that could hang me up. But i think itll work out nice.

Those look like they'll work well, I might take a piece of plate yourself and bridge the ledge to make a smooth ramp all the way to the rail, would be super easy.

I'm thinking to make/french a set for the front and Make a rear unit from a ballistic fab 2.0 joint similar to a trailgear joint

I also have a ridiculous plan to make 2x rear crossmembers to stiffen up my already boxed rear frame.... and box the little bit where the fuel tank crossmember currently sits

You sure do got plans :p An actual X shaped crossmember would go a long way to stiffening up the rear though. A ballistic joint would work well since it is rebuildable, the TG ones have been really pain free so far.

Main difference I see is that the ballistic units have adjustable preload, so the stints between rebuilds should be longer.

also planning to run their threaded ballistic joints instead of heims for UCA's

Because you're wheeling so much these days....

I just load up the TGs with some grease after each trip so far no slop after lots of driving and a good amount of wheeling for 3 years.

I've had to stop rattlecanning things I care about, it just doesn't hold up that well. Started using the two part heavy roll on rustoleum stuff.

well that's the thing, I don't care too much about the Tacoma lol

It's currently got failing clear, brown primer, and mismatched blue touchups going on. If I had the energy I'd probably do a cheap HVLP job

Then break and beat on it all summer and then comes the repairs in the winter :bananadead:

After many rattle can jobs, I have found the Rustoleum Professional Enamel Primer and Paint is extremely durable IF you allow it to completely dry which seems like a long time to me. But once its hard, its pretty surprising how hard it is to grind it away with an angler grinder wire brush.

that's the ideal way to do it. hopefully less breaking and more wheeling while I collect SAS parts
