Ultimately I think it's just a case of the auto industry as a whole on anything made after the covid supply chain and employment difficulties that have happened. QC slipped, timelines on things got delayed and then rushed once they could be built. Part quality suffered, fit and finish suffered.
Like I said, things just aren't what they used to be, and that goes for any manufacturer not just Ford. But the Bronco happened to be our worst vehicle experience ever so that may have left me with a poorer view on Ford now than it should be for earlier models

You’re not the first person that I’ve heard from this. My buddy went from a raptor to bronco back to a raptor because of all the problems he was having

Ford and dodge are two brands that I'm not likely to ever own again.

Audi should probably be on that list too after all the issues my S4 had but they are great driving, comfortable cars when they're running right.

The Audis drive so nice and are so comfortable. But damn when it comes to repair/maintenance they cost and arm and a leg.

My buddy is an Audi fan boy and expects the techs to spend more time in the driver seat than him. He admits it. I don’t get it

By far my worst was my 2011 Tacoma. I bought it new, put 44k miles on it and in that time frame it had... steering rack replaced, 2 sets of leaf springs, 2 blower motors, power steering pump, all serp belt idlers and tensioner, front diff was rebuilt and carrier bearing replaced. And the dealer never did find a pretty bad vibration from about 20mph up. It was hot garbage. The dealer was good at first but soon turned sour when I kept bringing it back with new issues.

I suffer through the work myself 90% of the time. Pulling the motor to replace turbos on the S4 was not fun 2 months after having the motor out for a new clutch. I spent the next 2 years of ownership stressing on what was going to break next but is was well sorted and really quick with larger turbos, fueling, gutted cats, and a tune.

I've been close to buying another B5S4 on a few occasions but I'm not ready for the suffering again...took a break from the brand for 3 years before picking up a used Q7 for the family hauler. It drives great and eats up highway miles but I've been avoiding tearing into it for a carbon cleaning and just clearing the check engine light before smog checks and then flogging it for a couple days before taking it in for the test. Some day that will not work and I'll have to deal with the problem though. Parts are stupid expensive too...I spent $900 on parts for a front and rear brake job last year. I try to keep vehicles for 10 years and made it 10 years and 75k miles on the S4. We are 6 years and 60k miles into the Q7 and I need to decide if it stays and I deal with the check engine light or if I just keep clearing the code and eventually trade it in on something else.

So much electronics on the new ones and things are really buried making them a pain to work on.

TJ’s are pretty good. I would not buy a Wrangler newer than a TJ. A TJ, CJ or a MJ is the way to go.

I need to own an RS3 one day. Attainable dream daily. That motor is just so cool. that + its basically the best version of the jetta if you think about it. Which I have a soft spot for since my 17 saved my fu**in life.

That's why you buy an audi new and dump them at 30k. That's what I did and to this day I consider it a great vehicle :D

When it comes to Audi, leasing is the key.
