Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

Two hours in and they're still there. So is the 14' piece of aluminum from the blinds I took down a few months ago. Figured the metal pickers would have smelled those from miles out.

 

I think a lot of what separates people who are considered "average" and those who are considered "smart" is the "smart" people almost always have an inherent curiosity about many things.

The curiosity motivates them to go learn something, it takes both patience and perseverance to learn.

Turning the idea to our shop staff - most of us here like to learn new things even if they don't really apply to anything we may do, we just like to learn.

We are receptive to listening to peoples thoughts because we have cultivated the patience to do so and perhaps all the various things we have learned along the way might help someone.

I've probably told this story but I was standing outside my buddies house awhile back and the scrapper guy came by and stopped out front of my friends place. He had a lamp laying next to the road and he hollared to the guy "it still works!" and gave a thumbs up. Scrapper gives a thumbs up back, snips the cord off and back in the truck he goes. He gone.

We look at each other and laugh . Scrappers gonna scrap.

 

Today I learned that even though the label on an HP computer says that it's 65 watts, it beeped and wouldn't boot when I connected a 65 watt power supply (actually 2 of them in case the first one was faulty) but it needed a 90 watt PSU. Go figure.

I agree for sure Rusty! Wanna learn something? Look up the Combined gas law. I used it today lol.
