House or apartment? Redmonds got a lot of apartments that are new and aren’t crazy money

 

I was hoping to get a house somewhere a little further out of town. Im originally from Boston and grew up sharing walls with my neighbors…
Was thinking best bang for my buck could be a mobile home in La Pine…but i dont know much about La Pine at all.
Coming from NM, mobile homes are pretty common

 

LaPine's gonna be colder, snowier than Bend or Redmond. Little if anything to do there compared to Bend or Redmond, especially if you have kids.

 

If your morning commute is gonna be to bend every day Redmond is closer though and has more ways of getting into bend. Just come and check it out. Personally ain’t nothing to do in La Pine for me. Also a lot more snow.

 

Yeah i figured the drive into town is only like 30 mins though so not too bad…right? I have a ton of stuff so im all about getting the most square footage i can afford. Those houses for $2500-$3k are out of my budget. No kids, just a dog

Office said I only have to go in 1-2 days a week. (Its near Ponderosa Park). I’d love to check out the area first but doubtful I’ll be able to come visit beforehand.

Well it’s 1 lane road for part of it then goes into 2. Just traffic gets bad cause of that and in winter you go through a lot more snow driving to bend.
Redmond to bend is 2 lanes all the way

Anyone have any skids for sale? Either aftermarket or factory. My factory engine skid looks like crater lake without the water and the bolt holes don’t have a prayer at aligning.

Just got a cord of juniper delivered on Saturday. Been going to GoodDog and Pine Nursery with my pup, but other than that havent done much since I just got finally got here on 1/23

 

Ha, we moved from that area (Grand Targhee dr) last June, really liked the area. Although south Bend gets a lot more snow than north Bend.
There’s a good place to walk dogs on the south side of China Hat opposite the Old Back Nine entrance. Watch out for all the dog crap when the snow disappears though, it’s a proper minefield!
I wish we had a proper fireplace, sadly got a crappy propane thing that is so inefficient, wife likes it though…
