I've only used them a couple of times with a 12" deck utility trailer, yes I could see the sides, not far though. Draw your lines from light source and see where the shadows will be from your boat. Light travels in straight lines.

It does seem like in the picture, your lights are much further away from the wall/door than mine was. maybe at a further distance like yours, the light would perform that way on a wall.

Also your pictures in the field do not compare.

The Max and Sport are known for having the sharp cutoff. I specifically went with the Pro for the more diffuse cutoff for bambi in the ditch spotting.

For those of you with diode ditch lights. Did you compare sport vs pros and what beam are you running? Trying to finish my truck and I need a light bar for my roof rack and bigger ditch lights

I'm running SS3 pros with the driving beam, but I use them more for forward light than ditch lighting. I have a set of SS2 pro combos that I might switch them out for eventually.

for me, i am using them as ditch lights so a sport was more then enough to light up the sides. i dont need to see a mile to the side lol. some sport ss2 was perfect for me.

After using ss3 pro fogs for the past year and a half and recently swapping to the new baja sae light I wouldn't recommend the pro as a street use fog light or a fog light at all for that manner. It's an excellent aux driving light even in the sae fog pattern but there is to much light spill past the cut off for then to be a true fog light.
I will miss the additional light spread of my diodes but the sharp cut offs on the new bajas will make them work much better in poor visibility

I guess this counts, but I have the XPRs installed on my Civic (yes I know what forum this is, but I enjoy the topics discussed).

Please note, I don't know what I'm doing when taking photos.

Originally, I had a set of VLEDS V6 Tritons installed just after I bought the car. They were installed in two other vehicles with no issues. Somehow, after a few days, the VLEDS, plus a pair of GTR Lighting i-LEDs I the turn signals, blew two fuses on my BCM. This caused my car to enter a fail-safe mode and lock me in "park."

So the XPRs get my vote! And they haven't caused any issues, yet.

And I plan to install the Elite Series using DD's add-on fog light harness. The main challenge is trying to not splice into my factory wiring.

my experience with my ss3 pro is quite opposite with yours, it has one of the best cut offs from the ones I tested (although I have not tried the Baja’s new sae offering). I have never get flashed when I had them on onroad. Ss3 pro is also SAE compliant from my understanding.

It is sae compliant but if you watch the video straight from diode they specify the pro does not have as clean of a cut off as the sport or max

It's why i went with Max. SAE compliant and when aimed properly should not glare on coming traffic. Been running them for 4 years and dont get flashed - obviously not the official test, but 4 years of driving and no flashing from on coming traffic says something. I absolutely love mine.

sure, if the perfectly clean cut off is what suits your needs, however, for me I am 100% satisfied with my ss3 pro given it is SAE, it has a much wider beam pattern than the new Baja SAE fogs, it has good enough cutoff mixed with slight amount of spill, not enough to blind the oncoming traffic (had them on for years also never got flashed). Oh, it also has a warmer color temperature so it is easier on the eyes.

if you look at the beam compared to the stock high beam, that is a good enough cutoff for me.

it’s best to use DD website to get your part number then plug it into AZ’s website.

I ordered 6191 yellow pro no backlight.
