That works until the dog, kid, car etc gets in the way.

I understand and won't argue the fact wearing gear is the best idea. I just don't do it all the time. It may be b/c I have had a nasty wreck with nothing but a swimsuit and was ok(stopid thought process, I know) and figure that doing 45 for a few miles will be ok. I know at the very least, I should wear the Joe Rocket mesh jacket I have.

I will never tell anyone not to wear stuff. Goes back to personal responsibility/choices for me.

People that don’t wear gear are the guys that have never been down. Or the guys that think it’s only for aggressive riders and sport bikes. There are also the guys that think just because I am out just cruising. You can not ever predict road conditions or what the other cage drivers are going to do. Deer don’t give a fuck what you are riding or what gear you have on ect. Again personal choice but the alternative is not good.
Damn sounds like I am preaching. Sorry it’s all from experience.

Maybe he sucked? And if your doing YouTube just for the hopes of making money your doing it for the wrong reasons. Few people actually make a living on YouTube and it often takes the ones that do years to get to that kind of monetization.

I only watched the vid where he told people to "fuck off"......so I have no clue if he had great content or not. The "Fuck Off" vid probably would have gone viral

I do some YouTube videos, mostly just for fun. And it does help some people I guess, I have been thanked for them. But I have no intentions of trying to be a YouTube Rockstar, lol. Mostly it may just leave some kind of legacy when I croak and take that long dirt nap. Or maybe it's so I can tell the trolls to kiss my ass, I dunno, maybe a little bit of all of it.
But mostly just for the fun of it.

My HWK pants showed up today. They fit good. They are just a little long (32” inseam) but they tuck in the boots just fine. I put all my gear on - helmet and jumped on the bike and it’s comfortable.
Can’t wait until tomorrow. Should be a good time.

I have the same pants, cheap but do the trick. I rode with my full knee pads last night and they work great.

Super ugly but I’m happy. Mine fit over jeans and work with shorts.

My neighbor just bought a R7 as his first bike. He rides in skinny jeans and a sweatshirt. And has some cheapo helmet that he has to charge to get music. I get that he's just starting, but he's questioning me as to why I was wearing a big jacket, pants and my Tech7s on a little backroad rip with our other neighbor with the ZRX1100. I felt bad for him and gave him an older armored shirt. I was young and dumb too. Never crashed horribly, but had a few little ones. Not anymore, at least on the road..

Right on man. That’s the way to teach. The R7 is a super aggressive riding position. It also has quite a bit of torque so would be fun as a first bike. To be young again.

Mine fit where there is no room for pants or shorts underneath. I do wear a one piece super thin under leather suit. I have one for cold weather and two for hot. With the vents open it does a pretty good job of cooling you off.

I sat on it, but couldn't bring my leg up high enough to get onto the pegs. Much different position than my bike

And no fun for long rides. Back, neck, knees, everything hurts after a little bit in that position.
