It weighs a noticeable amount less than stock so doesn't throw quite as nice, but I think the difference is trivial in a truck. I like the way it feels and it seems well made. It's a nice feeling to have fresh contact points when buying a used vehicle.

How much does your buddy charge to bore it the shifter diameter? Been wanting to do this to a fox rod end.

I do have a second rod end but it's the long version just like one in my truck. It's has some scraps on it since it came off of another members king suspension. I had two of them made in to a shift knob. If anyone is interested I'm asking 100$ shipped.

King rod ends are 7/8-14. We got a 2" bolt, and he put that on his lathe. He charged $75 for 2, and we supplied the bolt.

Auto shift thread pitch is M8x1.25

Bought a "Tub of Towels" on the way to work. Saw a 2024 Tacoma in the parking lot of Auto Zone.

Today I cleaned up spilled coffee (using the Tub of Towels).
Removed the inverter, bed outlet and all the wiring. I'll need to find the part number of the grommet for the floor where the wiring went through.
Found that I want to get new bolts for the fire extinguisher mount (I'll stop by the hardware store tomorrow).
Cut off the clamps on the e-brake cable that weren't bolted to anything.
Added spacers to the clamps that are still there. Got the idea from looking at @crashngiggles e-brake cables (I need longer spacers and bolts).
Found out the source of two rattles that I have. One is a heat shield and the other is the R/R fender liner. Easy enough fixes. I couldn't get the nut loose on the heat shield so I hit it with some PB Blaster and I'll tackle it another day.
I had to remove the tail light to get the inverter harness out so I removed both tail lights, put anti-seize on the bolts and a small amount of lube on the pins of the lights.
I found a place to mount the unit for my remote start module. I'll have to fab up a bracket.

The bracket for the air pump. Where'd you get it? AFE?

Never mind. I see that it's part of the air box, not separate.

Oil change, tire rotation, Oem front pads and rotors and found out my drivers caliper was seized up. Guessing after pushing the pistons back in. Replaced with a new one and back in business. Oh and sold my cap.

Front rotors had 170k on them.

Made some edits to my radio wire harness. I intercepted the video signal from the rear view camera at the IO1 connector (on drivers side junction box) using the appropriate OEM female connector housing and sent the signal to the input of my head unit instead of the tiny screen on the rear view camera. The video quality isn't amazing, but honestly it's not bad either. I have it set up to automatically trigger when the truck is in reverse, but I can also view it anytime while on the go--perfect for checking a trailer connection without having to stop. The harness is set up for a front camera as well, I just have to run the wires through the firewall and didn't feel like it today.

    IMG_1058.jpg

    IMG_1059.jpg

Edit: Dang, I just realized the rear camera portion of the harness isn't connected in that pic :SMH: Oh well.. It's a factory connector that would sit roughly just below the green/black wire "tree" and the video signal is carried by a shielded 3.55mm cable to the "custom" (left) branch of my radio harness.

Yeah, while it was a lot of work it's not really noticeable unless you are looking at two trucks next to each other. Just makes you brain think something is different without being able to figure it out.

Removed the "Front Wheel Opening Extension Pad" on each side, whose only purpose appeared to be rubbing my K02s while turning in reverse.

Minus 1HP per side, oh well.
