There were actually two pieces, both were given away as door stops.

When my son was at Vo-tech for welding he and his buddies welded up a bunch of scrap metal and made what we call Mr. Robot. At the end of the school year Mr. Robot need a home so I leaned him against a pine in the side yard. This was about six years ago. In a storm we had last September his lean post got struck by lightning. Unfortunately, Mr. Robot did not come to life.
After the storm the sky turned a beautiful purple.

I've got a bunch of storm damage photos from a December 20th windstorm, but they don't fit this thread's topic. If you want to see them, I'll post them here for lack of a better place.

GF sent me this pic of a fungus growing in our yard. Had to Google "chocolate starfish mushroom" to find it's called the starfish stinkhorn.:rofl:

Last summer found a had to be 100lbs snapper I had to push him off the road. Probably the biggest snapper I've ever seen. I didn't want to see it get hit.

I figured that snapper had to be close to a 100yrs old. My buddy has one as a pet he built a 200 gal pond in his back yard for it. It was his father's, his father got it when he was a kid this thing got to be 50+ pounds. They will out live us I know that forsure.

He lives by the shore so he uses a casting net. So fish and pellets. He also has 2 alligator snapping turtles. A mata mata turtle, long neck turtle. Let's just say the dude loves some turtles. I on the other like snakes so I have a couple different types.
