2020 Tacoma OEM LED Headlight Megathread

I ordered a set back in October and had a few issues with of them and sent one back. Then there was shipping issues and mysteriously a headlight just showed up on my doorstep.

To make a long story short I got them installed and honestly I’m not that impressed. If I had to do it all over again I would just have kept my stock protectors with H9’s.

The beam pattern / uniformity is terrible on the driver side but good on the passenger.
Anyone else have this experience?

 

Installed my set of LEDs today. Still need to aim them tomorrow, but the install went very smooth with the harness from @daveeasa . Bonus points for including the extra clips for the flares, as I ended up using 3 of the 4.

 

How off is the aim? How much work do they need?

 

Hardest part of aiming is finding a good location. Then it’s just time. Not hard. But best to take time. Need flat level ground with a wall and ideally no curb.

 

They were both a little low, but surprisingly, not too far off. Watched a couple videos online, it's a pretty easy process once you find somewhere flat to do it.

 

I still need to do this also.

 

If it makes you guys feel any better, I haven't adjusted any of my 3 trucks post suspension work and my headlights are horribly low. Better that than too high from my perspective of not wanting to be a jerk to other drivers, but I know my night vision will improve once I make time to aim. Planning to do all 3 in one go so I need a big block of time and just the right space.

Does anyone think the price of these headlights will go down now that the 4th gen is out?

 

There's a 25% parts deal at southeast Toyota dealers going on right now for the next two weeks. This is a good time to buy a pair if you've been waiting for a sale.

I checked prices on Sand Mountain Toyota and they had some of the lowest prices I've seen on things like TRD Pro LED headlights, TRD skid plate, etc

These guys were willing to ship to me (free, as part of the promo) and I am in Colorado. There are other dealers running the promo as well. But here is the price for one headlight, shipped. So about $1100 for the set. This is the best deal I’ve seen when these come up.

 

Hello All,

I need some advise. I recently decided to upgrade my 2019 TRD Pro headlights to the 2020-2023 TRD Pro LED headlights (with the TRD PRO lettering)... PN 81110-04300 and 81150-04300. Well, I purchased the two headlights from different sources as they were cheaper to do so. The driver's side headlight looks like the one you would get from Sparks Parts.
Notice... No Chrome Bezel.

I purchased this one off eBay. Some of the pictures showed no chrome bezel, so I was hopeful.

This one shows the chrome.


this is the one I bought off ebay.

Both of them have the TRD and PRO accordingly, but which one is authentic? The one with the chrome makes me feel like they got a TRD headlight, cracked it open and put a TRD sticker there to pass it off, but why would someone go through all the trouble?

Please help.

 

Second one is not OEM if it’s chrome and has TRD

 

The PRO versions only have chrome on the TRD and PRO bottom tabs. Send that fleabay one back.

 

I have already initiated the return and packed the box. Sending back this afternoon.
